We did beat them 4-0 after that Barry

You’re right, we did. Nice to see they do learn from their mistakes sometimes.

Some of Pearson’s team didn’t live in the area but we still beat our local rivals. Different mentality of player though, installed by the manager as well. I don’t think our manager or players have anything in them.

In terms of the game itself though I can’t see us beating Derby.

I’d say more then than do now lived in the area. You’re right about mentality, there’s just nothing there. Soulless.

Carlton Morris will dominate our back 4. Thats how bad things have got 😂

We will also get to see why I was begging for us to sign Patrick Ageymang.. I felt like he was what we needed. Has pace but is big and strong. Can run, score, set up. Can be a target man too. He’s like a bigger faster stronger Ayew who doesn’t fall over.

Assume its not the one that played for Wimbledon.. he was my main man on Championship Manager 03/04

From big dogs of the Midlands to bottom of the pile in the blink of an eye.  Even worse than Derby :nono:

Interesting thought, that!

With West Brom winning, we are now below midlands rivals Coventry, Stoke, Birmingham, WBA and Derby. Add the Prem clubs Wolves, Villa and Forest - you're right: bottom of the pile.

The worry is that this time next year we'll be below Lincoln, Northampton, Mansfield, Peterborough, Notts Co, Burton and Wallsall!!

From best in England to 16th in the midlands in ten years.

Good 'un, eh, Top???

Are we surprised the players don’t care when they read lazy pre-match thread titles like this?? Date / Time!?

Seems that things are the worst I’ve noticed in my 60 years of following City

Yes we’ve had lots of ups and downs

some dire management and players but  my personal opinion is the club itself is the most toxic I’ve ever known

if I were in charge my answer would be to appoint king as manager and get Martin O Neal back to help Andy out

Martin has steadied the ship during his short spell with Celtic and I feel his man management would be a great bonus with all of these big time Charlie’s we have in our squad at the moment

He's injured until next year.

Mind you, he'd probably still dominate us even with an injury lol

Got to hope and pray Ben Nelson is back for this.

No idea about the rest of the team but let’s just have a front four of:

Fatawu

Monga

Mavididi

Evans

Let those 3 just roam around behind Evans.

I joke but it would genuinely do no worse than what we’re currently seeing.

JV needs ****ing off with Faes and Winks. He is the cause for all that is wrong with what we are seeing.  He stinks out the defence and kills any moment that our attacks could have.

If that midfield gets the ball quickly and work as a team instead of countless step overs, they are good enough to beat most defences.

I would put Daka upfront, tell him to only face their goal with Page behind.  It doesn’t matter where you play Ayew, he’ll always drift into Mavs zone Ayew it.

Lose the walking to the halfway line and blasting the ball to the forward to not control.

Hopefully someone has asked Ricardo to stop doing his Luke Thomas impression.

If you are getting rid of Jannik and Faes for Derby, who plays there?

Marti's last game in charge:

                          Begovic

       Skippdog.  James.   Soumare

         Fatawu.     Daka.    Mavididi

Vieites.

Faes. Thomas

Choudhury. BDCR. Winks
Monga. Ayew.
Carranza

I don’t know who is available or have that answer.  If needs must I would rather have Faes than JV.  Both unlikable and shit but Faes seems to get all the blame and vitriol instead of sharing it equally with JV.

Both will make mistakes in defence but remove JV and the tempo of the game changes completely. The ball will get forward in two passes instead on the QE2 being stranded afloat when he blasts it to Daka or Ayew to not control.

This is just going to drag, and drag and drag.

We will lose, Marti has lost the dressing room and an after Enzo’s Cilit bang, black mould spray has temporarily halted the rot, it’s well and truly back again…..

Marti will eventually go, but it won’t be until they either know about our PSR fate, or things get so bad they just simply can’t keep him, so he will get sacked and King will remain in post until the PSR stuff is sorted. For which I genuinely don’t think we will have an answer until next year, they will drag it through the transfer window so we don’t make any signings other than potentially send Carranza back and try to sign a few loan players or a cheap player from over seas, similar to Coulibaly.

Either way, this will be a dismal day out which will result in another loss. If you’re going, at least protest and make your voices heard…… there’s nothing to support on the pitch, don’t embarrass yourselves.
