Shame Ayew was flagged, 4 against Derby is an iconic scoreline

Yes, but he should also have scored in the second half when he was half asleep when a fab cross came in. He was just ambling about instead of going for a goal

Stephen thanks you.

I actually want to throw in a disclaimer. I met him once and he was a lovely fella.

I just don't rate that Inn for a Penny show

First half was like watching a game under Pearson. Quality in every department. Second half they ground it out but still some very questionable game management and subs. Hamza on in the 60th minute and then replacing your best player with a couple of kids when the games still in the balance? Very bizarre

Skipp and James were quality. Nelson looks like a Rolls Royce. No more Winks, Soumare and Faes now. Thats a committed squad we need to go with

You say bizarre, and to an extent I agree. However, what a confidence boost for the young lads to be trusted to see out a game and at local rivals too in some tough situations. We saw fight and passion, that’s why we want back.

This result (not necessarily the full performance) could and should be a catalyst and blueprint for the rest of the season!

It was Vestegaard for a bit. Who was also our highest xg player in the league at number 65.

One step at a time yeah

couple more years and it might be a striker!

James, great, Skipp, Nelson, Ricardo all good. MOTM Jakub for me though, 3 or 4 top saves there.

Ricardo was dreadful today but he was the only one thankfully.

He can pass he can score

having the time of his life

Jordan James watch him play on a Saturday.

I’m a big fan of xG but this is where it can be a bit misleading as you can pad out your xG with lesser chances.

The key stat to look at is big chances - we had 3 and they had just one, and that’s exactly reflected in the result.

Exactly that. It’s like possession, look at the Oxford vs Ipswich game the other night. Ipswich had all the ball and yet Oxford created the big chances.

Those stats are largely due to the fact that we gifted Derby the initiative by choice in the second half and played the last half hour in our own half when the game was won.

I hate the tactic and we got away with it, but we outclassed Derby until we decided to declare.

He's not really a striker. That's our problem ATM, we don't have one

Excellent first half playing direct and purposeful football. Second half was not so good.

We’ll know the team are on an upward trajectory when they play consistently well over 90mins.
