He’s naturally right footed, and spent some years playing at right back, however similar to Monga he’s ambidextrous and can comfortably use his left foot too. So he’s spent most of his time in the academy at Left back. 
 

He and Monga formed an incredible relationship down the left side, which is why I think we need to bin Thomas off and try and rekindle this relationship.

Yes Silko needs the confidence of a start. Fatawu is still contributing but isn't going past defenders like he can.

Selection will be interesting for this one. Will Nelson start again after just coming back from injury? Can Ricardo play midweek after the weekend? Which muppet will start up front, or will he give youth a chance?

Would be risky to make big changes - so same high intense first half, then take off some of the key fellas.

Bear in mind that Thomas came on fresh against some proper cloggers that had already played 80 minutes. He won't go past people like that normally.

Really hope we can give Aluko another shot, this time at right back. I'd be worried about playing Nelson again having just come back but it would mean Faes has to start. Have to accept Thomas is probably our best option at left back. 

 

Probably play Daka for Ayew and then the rest stays the same.

If Ricardo can’t play we could always go Aluko at RB & Thomas LB. 

I wonder if Reid will start again? Didn’t play the full 90 so should be okay to start again. 
 

Fatawu has been bizarre lately because I don’t think he’s playing badly but his decision making has been awful at times.

Silko being involved so much has really surprised me. Had a very poor loan at Wigan in League one by all accounts.

 

Is it because he’s the only other right winger available?

He's just a bit stronger and more physical. Almost every time he's come on its been to see out a lead.
