When you hit rock bottom, they say the only way is up, but somehow we keep digging and carrying on downwards. Relegation this season would not surprise me

Yes even when we’ve been bad before we’ve had good performances, the odd good result and at least 1 player you can rely on for a performance.

 

This lot are mortally infected by poisonous decay and decline. 
 

Martin as expected is a ****wit but the raid decline set in years ago of course

I think it will get worse. I’m not sure the club has a future to be honest, it’s very Naive of our fans to think there is a knight in shining armour to save us from this mess. I genuinely think we might be the first in a series of significant liquidations. Ain’t no one spending 100million on this.

Everyone who - after huffing exactly the same copium about the Championship this time last year - tried to suggest a "year" in League One will make things better and "we might see us win a few"... can f*** off. Rose tinted glasses of 2008. F*** off. Trying to somehow equate this sorry bunch of losers - and the poor kids they're dragging along for the ride - with Pearson's team. F*** off. 

It might get better. I have genuinely liked what I've seen from our young talents, the loanees and (some) of the new senior signings. I still hold out some hope that there are still a few bad eggs in that squad that will either piss off elsewhere in the next week, or will eventually see themselves put on gardening leave - whether that's by Martin or (on current trajectory) his inevitable replacement.

But make no bones - this is the all-time low. The target for the whole season is 96 points. Any less than that, and it's objectively our worst league finish in 142 years. We've just been beaten - comfortably - by Burton f***ing Albion, a team we played in preseason a few weeks ago, presumably because our smug bastards of owners assumed we'd never go down and would be playing a league above them when it was organised.

 

The club remains on the brink of administration and, down the line, could face liquidation, if we don't get out of this tier of football and fast. And yet we've made the managerial appointment nobody wanted, and even then given him the most pathetic backline possibly in the entire professional pyramid to work with. Nobody wins, we're shit, and it's (currently) an all time low. And yes, it could get worse yet. If we don't go up, I fully expect administration, and I would not be surprised to see us eventually face a winding-up order over unserviceable debts.

 

But hey, we were in League One once. F*** off.

Forgot about that. Totally sums us up. No pressure kickaround we win comfortably. The real thing begins and we're found wanting.

 

We are absolutely horrid. Most hateful team I've ever seen in my life.
