Two guys behind me today were saying that this is the worse it’s ever been. That it wasn’t this bad, even in administration. Got to say I’ve never felt as bad as this supporting the club. I just didn’t really care today at all.

Worse ever? Or has there been worse times ?

Pleat era was dross. Recall Levine playing a side containing about six fullbacks: that was bad. Megson playing De Vries and Scowcroft on the wings: also bad. And the game where Joe Hamill played :0 But at least it used to feel like things *could* change - maybe with a bit of "help" from the fans. Now it seems helpless. We're a nothing club

Yes. 2001-09 was grim but at least many of those games were not broadcast back then.

Everything plays out for all to witness now.

From the point of 10 years ago (even 5) it just can't be beaten.

And there is no hope of any improvement under Top.

The Holloway times were pretty dark but you saw that coming for years. This is just abject. The fact we have players on circa 80 bags a week isn’t making it any better. Back then we had Stephen Hughes and Nils Eric johansson doing it on the pitch.

not one player looked like they cared today and it’s been that way for weeks.

the manager has no clue how to play

abdul is our biggest threat and he gets two men on him every time he gets the ball he can only do so much. Even trying from his own half again can’t save us.

Jordan James was quiet throughout. Im

a big fan and hope he stays but to say he was above a 5/10 today would be generous

we aren’t cut throat enough. 1-0 after 7 mins against an equally poor side we should go for the jugular but Madri is clueless to it

derby will beat us easily and I hope he goes by the end of the year

is this the worst? I can’t be 100% sure but it can’t get any worse than this? Can it?

I felt more hopeless in the Kelly, Levin, Holloway era. Cause we just seemed to have no money at all and had players like Andy Johnson, Gareth Williams, Josh Low, Alan Rodgers stinking up the place. Pretty sure once we lined up with 6 right backs on the pitch.

I still hope after we've got through this PSR minefield that we'll have money to spend again. And we have youth prospects to look forward to. Back then we only really had Stearman.

But I don't think I've ever watched a team with such little fight and character as we have now.

Well we were relegated to L1 once you know.

But seriously I think the 2 or 3 seasons leading up to that where dreadful its just time has consigned those to the back of the memory.

A lot of the players in that era didn't have half the ability the likes of Ricky, JJ, Abdul etc have. It was just squad after said of rubbish, journey men, cloggers on reflection and that relegation was coming a long way off.

The difference they weren't picking up pay checks rumoured to be 50+ in a lot of cases.

Worryingly however there is a lot of similarities in what's happening on the pitch this could prove another slow death and a long recovery.

Scowcroft had left the club two years before Megson's appointment

Maybe wrong manager then, or a different big lump! Told you I was hazy on the details! Maybe someone can corroborate my memory of MDV on the wing?!

It’s how much worse it could well get which is the most worrying thing. When we were shite under Levein etc we barely had a pot to piss in but our wage bill to turnover was proportionate. The state of the finances now is horrifying and could take years to recover from.

No. It's been worse.

But it's never nice watching your club spiralling uncontrollably. I guess the worry is that if things continue the way they're currently going, it could well and up being the worst.

I suppose the fall from grace is what makes this one so painful. If you set out to ruin a club, you'd do well to match what's happened at Leicester in the last few years.
