This year has been a bit of a fail IMO

It's definitely not been a good game of traitors. But it's been pretty good entertainment.

I suppose it depends what your priorities are. Like I said before, I kinda just watch this for the same reason I watch Taskmaster or Last One Laughing. I don't really care about the context I'm just watching it to enjoy some celebrities I like having a laugh and being daft.

It was a pretty good cast, I liked the majority of people that went in at the start and that's kinda good enough for me really.

My missus, who actually likes the traitors for the game itself, thinks the same as you really but then she likes watching the normal / non-celebrity version which I personally think is dull crap. So. Yknow.

I mean... has it?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course but it feels like there's been next to no jeopardy and pretty much no drama (expected when these celebs have to maintain face with each other but still).

The final big cliff hanger of the series was wondering whether Kenny had voted for Joanne or Sharon and both were out within 5 minutes of the next episode and that was the only remotely close vote in the entire series.

Richard - 16 of 20 votes.

Myha'la - 13 of 19 votes.

Julie - 9 of 18 votes.

Hannah - 12 of 15 votes.

Joe - 11 of 14 votes.

Jerry - 9 of 12 votes.

James - 7 of 8 votes.

The faithful have been sheep that the traitors have easily herded (or in most circumstances, have just sat back and watched them all gather in the pen by themselves).

I get where you're coming from but this hasn't been my cup of tea. I agree that I like most of the cast (more than the last years cast).

I think i'm a bit like your Mrs then because I enjoy the game more than the contestants. I'd much rather see genuine game play than a comedian the same jokes that they make on Taskmaster, Last One Laughing, League Of Their Own etc.

I think the Traitors is a good enough concept to be a good strategy gameshow that it doesn't need to be dumbed down. Those aforementioned programmes are great and have their spot on my watch list but I do think the traitors can be a little bit better than a room of comedians all taking it in turns to write another person's name on a chalkboard before going back to having a laugh.

The whole series has been a let down to be honest.

They made it far too easy for the traitors with relentless recruitments. They should limit those to one per series imo.

Now it’s completely swung in the least satisfying way. They never showed who James A voted for either? Would’ve been interesting.

Yeah but what I'm saying is that I don't really give a shit about the jeopardy or the drama. I've enjoyed just watching it as light hearted, casual entertainment.

Ross Kemp's paranoia was hilarious, James Blunt being the most confidently incorrect man in television history has been funny, Richard E Grant was absolute cinema, Romesh is funny pretty much just doing nothing.

I definitely think this cast of people could have been better utilised but I've enjoyed just watching them tbh. Will I remember this series forever? Narh of course not. Was the last one better even though it had less people in it I like? Yeah sure. But I've still just enjoyed watching this.

Probably wait to see what happens tonight before passing judgement. They’ve got a sniff of finding them both based on the breadcrumbs dropped so far.

Killing Shannon and keeping Michael was the biggest mistake they could have made. Michael is by far their biggest threat, Shannon had more heat on her and was starting to crumble under it, getting really snappy with people and taking things too personally. That's where they messed up. If the kept her and killed Michael, James would still be there and half the finalists would have been traitors.

Can only assume the producers set the whole thing up for james to leave because surely if james admitted he was a traitor then the faithful should have kept him in and tried to banish another traitor?

I believe that when further challenged by Michael, James had a panic attack and just walked out of the round table. clearly that confirmed him a traitor but it was decided that for his mental health and the integrity of the program from that point, he had to be banished in what effectively became a staged event. His speech about being a traitor was from when he came back in.

Completely agree. But I can just imagine the state of some of the reaction on social media.

It will be fun to watch the meltdown on X tbqh.

Glad Bash won. Never heard of him before the show, but came across as a lovely lad and was just about the brightest on there. Deserved it

Bless him I actually want to give James Blunt a hug.

Words I thought I'd never say.

I've never seen someone have a look of complete amazement for so long lol

And then he messed it up for himself anyway!

Bash saved the day for the Faithful. Stuck with his gut and it paid off, even voting for James at the end too. I was certain he'd go with Romesh and align with James.
