The club has been a car crash the minute he walked through the door. And he gets a large portion of blame for it. But I listed some of the reasons why his time with us has gone badly. It's not all his fault. That's my point. He's likely a decent 15m level player, ie what we bought, who's been playing in a car crash of a football club. Very few could thrive - and enjoy - that environment. As a professional (ie a hired gun) footballer, he's within his rights to prefer a career move to a more stable, more positive environment 2

Shame he wasn’t as good as he thought or might’ve had a better offer than a Turkish team and not had to wait 2 years until a desperate Monaco took a punt and even then only as a loan.

The vitriol directed at him,.gonna use some pop psychology here, says more about those criticising him than Faes. He's became a scapegoat and object of fans' personal frustrations 1
