Him and Ayew together is the most pedestrian, uninspiring central attacking pairing imaginable. Just to complete this thought, number 10 my arse 1

Rodgers kept playing Ward and Amartey even though they were woeful and Marti keeps picking Thomas, although he doesn't have many other options other than playing Ricardo or Hamza out of position or Aluko who looked awful and got sent off when he played left back. He might be shit at defending but he has the joint second assists and joint second big chances created in this wank team

I wanted him gone but he’d likely have done a better job than Marti, at least the lad had standards. Marti allegedly was the reason that Wout came back into the starting 11, after he expressed wanting out. I have just gone off him if that is the case. Get him out! 1

They got 7pts from Bristol, Swansea and Southampton when they frankly barely deserved 2pts. The 3-2 over WBA was also a joke. 1
lgfualol Posted 17 January Posted 17 January We’ll be under the cosh for most of the game and our attack plan will be hoofing it to Ayew. It’s so obvious.

Marti has played this same dross style all season, he can’t even get a winger to run into space and another to pass the ball to them. This theory sounds too tactical for me to believe he would think it up and execute. 😂 1

Muzzy_no7 Posted 17 January Posted 17 January Oh Frank, either give up or go Turkey. That 2 and a 4 with an island on top just isn’t working 😂

Marty does play Thomas, hoping for a decent performance, but he doesn't always pick him. It's called squad rotation. You can't keep sidelining every player who has a bad un. I'm baffled to why Marty doesn't change up the formation to do without Thomas though.

Nelson wasn't fully fit at the start and then Okoli got injured, so not sure he had much choice. I dont think he would have wanted to play Faes if we had other options. 1

Changing formation would mean playing 3 centre backs and we dont have enough availabile centre backs to do that until Souttar returns 1
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 17 January Popular Post Posted 17 January I have the sound muted and I just glanced at the TV but even without words I'm pretty sure sky are doing a segment about Cov playing a high line and being vulnerable to pace in behind. Good job we're starting old pappa Ayew up front then eh No need to panic, Frank. Clean sheet today. 6

We’ll get countered constantly when JV junior keeps playing the Enzo ball to Ayew or Stevie Wonder keeps passing to the opposition. When that fails the just put Jakob under pressure and he hoofs it up. All because the ignored a simple quic pass first time. Cov wont even need to make a tackle. Hopefully Ricardo remembers he can move with the ball and pass it forwards. JJ will be key to get anything moving towards the goal. Mav and Fatawu need to rinse and repeat the winner against Weds.

The same Nelson who was getting minutes in pre-season and then dropped? If Nelson was injured, why did he play in the league cup game? Faes 100% started ahead of a fit Nelson, one of many Marti masterclasses. 1
