So, the conclusion from that is that all this self-inflicted due to financial mismanagement under King Power's watch and that no one, including Maguire, has a clue on what is going on in terms of our charges for PSR, so it is useless speculating until the outcome is published, whenever that will be.

In other words, nothing we didn't already know, but an interesting listen.

I found it, interesting and informative.  Looks like we are owned by King Power and King Power Holdings.  Plainly obvious though noone knows the PSR points deduction, possibly, issue or has a clue.  Wage bill at our club is crippling us though.

This is such an Icarus tale - the club got too ambitious and still paying the price. Hearing Maguire reinforces that 22-23 was such a disaster class, it should be studied as a case study for not what to do.

Effectively, until almost all the higher earners from that era are off the books (plus Winks), we're competing with one hand tied behind our backs.

I've said this before but how the club allowed well over £100m worth of talent leave on a free is akin to criminal negligence - that is on Rodgers, Top, Rudkin and Whelan.

As @K789 says, the main hope I've had for the PSR hearing is they changed the rules after the issue took place, and that would struggle to hold up in the court of law.

This retrospective applying of rules question has never been answered. The PL/EFL must know this. All very odd.

Yeah. They are determined to punish us, as they'll argue it's for the integrity of the competition having punished other clubs. They need to show the league that they are doing all they can.

So if it fails, they can then at least say they did what they could to make up for their loose wording. And also creates more uncertainty for the club.

Ask him have you ever invested in a football club, have you ever owned a football club, have you ever been the CEO of a football , does he have access true review of financial details not covered in the annual accounts, does he follow Swiss Ramble, if the answer is no then what makes him more of an expert than anyone else who can read?

I remember reading one 'expert' (can't remember which one) suggest a while back that if the PL can't retrospectively apply the rules, they might announce what points deduction would have applied without actually imposing it. This would help to set a precedent for future cases but would not directly affect us. I've no idea whether any of this is true, but I wonder if a dispute over the legality of imposing the rules retrospectively is one of the reasons for the delayed announcement.

The section about wages from 14:50 is really damning on the club and really makes you question how Rudkin was able to keep his job.

@Loxm cheers for that, definitely an interesting listen.

It’s easy to keep your job if your boss has mentally checked out and no longer cares what happens in your organisation.

I’d say he’s pretty qualified, more so than the person running our football club into the ground.
