What he fails to recognise is the club started moving in the right direction under Pearson…… I wont credit Top with anything other than the destruction of his father’s work. Vichai deserves all of the credit, he had the foresight to allow the right people to do the right jobs. Top, which is highlighted in his interviews, is completely clueless.

Been reflecting quite a lot on Tops circumstances over the last few weeks, like most, but now we have a whole series of comments to now gain a truer, complete, perspective if you like of just where the club is and what the future holds.

First there is a vast difference between a leader and a manager. I remember when going on my first management course and the tutors commented was that a good leader isn’t guaranteed to be a good manager .Sadly what LC is witnessing is someone that thinks he is a good leader, he isn’t, and gets involved in managing when he shouldn’t be near the interventions he talks about.

I haven’t looked at the ownership structures in place at other clubs  to see how many of the current owners are second generation but what we are witnessing is an owner who inherited an “ empire” and just because his father was an astute businessman there is absolutely no guarantee that Top was ever going to be a success.

Its clear to all that the club is rudderless, sadly for Top the likelihood is that KP isn’t in a better place.

The issue  for me is that in a blink of an eye the club could go from a vacuum in terms of leadership to a situation where boundaries simply won’t either be clear or other members of that leadership group exert too much influence.

Irrespective a reboot at this point in time is unlikely to have any immediate impact  indeed it could and almost certainly will lead to an even deeper confusion.

Changing a culture is all a well and good but any culture will be decided by the leaders and we go full circle is Top even able to grasp what is required or just as much a concern , is he able to even identify individuals with the skill sets required to move forward. ?

Sadly where Leicester currently find itself is akin to a distressed  business and is closer to needing to appointing an individual whose required  skill set is business rescue.

I still think the way we credit Vichai and King Power with what we did is too much.

Oh I agree. And he never got the same credit when he was alive... makes you think.

Best thing he ever did was re-appoint Pearson (that was after going behind so Pearson went to Hull).

Its occurred to me today, Aiywatt saying he has no idea why we went down 22/23, and others saying players were too good, shows how off it he really is.

- Amartey playing centre half

- either thomas or VK playing left full back causing issues for Harvey Barnes.

- N'didi just not with it at all

- Danny Ward leaking goals all over the place

- Tielemans about 2 stone overweight and disinterested

- no right winger

- a manager who wanted the sack

It was so obvious to all of us how much trouble we were in that season

I remember massive alarm bells going off when we collapsed in the first game of that season to Brentford at home.

Then that week where we shipped about 30 goals to Brighton and Spurs.

How Rodgers didn't get the sack for that, I'll never know.

That was Rodgers throwing the game, it was baking hot and Frank brought on 4 players at 55/60, it changed the game, we took off KDH and brought on Daka. It was Rodgers having a tantrum

Yup there was warning signs right at the start of the season like you say, Top and Rudkin waited until we was pretty much relegated.

He really needs to sell the club or employ people who know what they are doing or we will end up in league 1.

This whole media tour has been a flop. It's no wonder he never does it.

The optics of fly in, watch game, say manager safe, sack manager, media interviews, fly out.

Still think he chose this game because Oxford have Indonesian owners. This includes Anindya Bakrie who was heavily rumoured to be initially involved around the King Power takeover and Erick Thohir who recently had a stake in Inter Milan.

He fly in for that primarily and then everything else was wrapped up in it.

Amartey gets such unfair treatment on here yes he was not the best CB we have had but he always gave 100% and was generally pretty solid and had to play next to Faes who was costing us goal after goal every game.

Amartey was often terrible, as was Faes and most of the team. Overall he was a solid signing who could slot in in a few positions, but let’s not pretend he wasn’t shit when we went down.

He was crap. Had more bad games than good.

Top ultimately to blame and Rudkin,

But Rogers was the real destroyer.

If only..Top had seen him for what he was.

He was a fairly ordinary player who was being played not in his best position, being let down by a lack of cover from a weak midfield and a terrible goalkeeper.

I don't mean to single out Amartey as a player, because he wasn't top of the list of players that made me angry that season, up there was Ndidi and Tielemens, he was listed because it was a symptom of the fall out with Cags, Evans on the treatment table whilst Tanner backs Aiywatt that we had some amazing side too good to go down, because we didnt, Rodgers was right.
