This is sadly the experience of a lot of players coming through at Leicester. I imagine this happens at all professional clubs.

He went on loan to Port Vale then Fleetwood and didn’t do very well

Port Vale was a last minute move, think he was trying to move all summer until they eventually gave in and let him move on deadline day. 
 

He was told all summer he’d be around the first team prior to the move, yet wasn’t. 
 

Not all facts, but little snippets of what I got told. 
 

But yeah, he didn’t perform fantastically whilst out on loan, but we didn’t exact set him up for a successful spell.

Did find it a bit odd he had 2 loans in 24/25 and then this season has seemingly not played at all apart from some u21 games at the start of the season.

Won’t even be that much. If Winks is on £90k, 3 weeks would be £270k. There’s no way we have exceeded that for Cover, from Rotherham.

Looked like he had something about him in the limited minutes under Maresca. Shame we didn't see a bit more given he could play at RB and DM. Although even Rakihy looked like he might be a league standard player under Maresca in a well drilled system.

 

These deals are fine and necessary to a a degree, but if we then spend money on a player to act as cover (no pun intended) and we barely play them we're so so so dumb. Would playing Masawanhise instead of signing Akgun, Nelson for Coady, Evans for Carranza got us ahead of where we are now both in squad and FFP? Yes.
