Dom Ballards record for Leyton Orient merits a look when we go searching for a striker.  Never watched him to know if he's any good....but you can't knock the stats this season for a team fighting relegation.

I know quite a few orient fans and they say he can go up to the top and they are surprised they even got him as was highly regarded in england youth setup.

That means we’ve got no chance of him coming to us

Just thought this, excellent numbers playing for a pretty doggo team.

Peterborough officially announced today that Archie Collins will be a free agent, gerrimin.

Been calling for him for a few weeks.

If we aren’t all over this then what on earth are we doing.

Would very much be a signing in the Richie Wellens mould.

We need to be careful because Collins would be ideal but he's 27 and he will have a good amount of teams in the Championship who will give him a 3 year deal that with a signing on fee is likely to be £15-20k a week. The only way we get him is being ambitious and paying through the nose ala Winks and Coady and i've had a gutfull of that.

tbf thats a good point.

Whilst I would want be interested in taking player like Collins at LCFC, as I think he is the type of player we need - I wouldn't then want to then make him the highest player in League One just to get him here (or in the equiv of a Winks bracket, but for League One).

Although is 10-15k over the top, for a top end League One player high? This is depending on actually IF (big if) the guy is a player that is one of the better midfielders in the division. If so, looking at last years top League One earners then maybe that particular figure wouldn't be too bad.

Because of hearing his name on here, I watched Tolaj at the weekend against Northampton (partly to watch Jake Evans) and he did look a right handful. Looking at his figures this season, he will no doubt be chased by a host of Championship clubs.

By all means, if we could get him, I would be well chuffed but I just cant see him coming to us over a Championship team.

For all you Dutch 2nd division fans, my 2 local clubs, Willems II and RKC Waalwijk play tonight in the play offs.

I'll be honest, the quality of the league isn't great but both teams have great young strikers, who would be available for around €1/2m, so whoever loses I would love Leicester to get.

Tim van der Leij - 20 years old, must be 6ft 5 and has a bit of the Zlatan about him, isn't that prolific though.

Devin Haen - 21 years old and scores for fun

£10-15k in League One would be very much top end but Collins salary he can command on a free at Championship level will be considerably higher than what we should be offering.

We need to stop being the team that agents look to us for top wages

Likely putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5, from Jakub's insta post, I have a feeling he is going to leave. With that in mind, we will be looking for a GK

This guy looks to be about to go out of contract, but worth 1 million at Blackpool - could be a good backup GK shout, when you look at his career appearances

Don’t think Jakub is going anywhere.

He will be number 1 next season regardless of renewing or not

The last good defensive midfielder we signed was Ndidi in 2017 - we can't neglect the position anymore. We also need physicality, Gibson Yah fits the bill perfectly.

Been told from someone close to Peterborough that they think he’s coming to us. If he’s got any sense though he’ll wait to see what Championship offers he gets.

If we get shut of Winks and maybe Skipp, Collins makes perfect sense imo.

Collins

Braybrooke

Then probably a new number 8, plus a more experienced head on a 1-2 year deal, I’d be happy with that.

I could see Page developing into that player but we could really do with adding a goal threat from central midfield.

Yeah I would go along with this. Although I wouldn't be fussed if Skipp was here next season, so long as he is fully committed and not sulking.

Agree on the number 8 shout, didn't we have Oakley playing that role in League One? Someone like that would do us good

50-60 games (The glamorous Vertu Trophy and all that!!!) will mean that we need to have a decent squad of players.

Under the right manager, could Brandon Williams turn his career around? Seems like a bit of a lost cause now, but I can't help but think a manager like Pearson would get him back on track. If someone could wake him up and get him to sort himself out off the pitch, he still has a career ahead of him at a very good level. Probably not worth the gamble for us though.

Kasey Palmer may give you that - I know he didn't do great at Hull but the Luton fans have loved him during his loan spell there. TBH, I am only going off what the Luton fans have said and don't know if he a player known for his work rate etc.

We need the next Lloyd Dyer. He may not have been the most skillful, but he worked his socks off and had speed on the wing that panicked players. Okay, he did run the length of the pitch from a goal kick and then managed to get to the other side fall over and out for goal kick once. But his determination, desire and work rate was never in question.  That is what I want to see next season from players.
