Positives: He knows the league in and out, and likely has well established backroom staff to come straight in with him

Negatives: Far from an inspiring or exciting appointment and seems a run-of-the-mill Championship Manager.

Up to the players now whether they respond well to him and get us to safety or not. I have my doubts, as they are a useless bunch.

Hasn't got the best record but it feels like we all believe that league 1 here we come so, we have little to lose anyway.

I don't know what he is going to do about us having Ayew up front, Thomas left back, no defensive midfielders, and a weakness and continued sense of failure that runs through the spine and permeats throughout the squad.

If he can get Luke Thomas and Okoli to defend or pass a football he will become a legend

If he can setup so that we are not exposed by Luke Thomas' frailties, and Okoli's shite passing, and Riccy's age, then he will become a legend.

He has a good record on the initial bounce, so much so that if he does the same here we will be safe. Big if with this shambles though

How depressing

It is, but it feels club relevant at this time.

Look on the bright side, its not another failure ridden Pep wannabe

Not. My First choice but on reflection look at where we are. I think we now have a fighting chance to stay up, the only problem is getting rid of the rot within. If rumours are correct it’s one player that is stirring the s—t and he needs to go.
Another manager but I will try my best to back him and hope to god we don’t go down, we have time

True, just feels really depressing that the club has dropped so much but yeah have to look for the bright side.

Can you elaborate? Winks or Vestergaard

Preferred formation is 4-2-3-1 (obviously) lol

To be fair, people say his spell at Stoke was poor … but that PPG will keep us in the division

He will want to be here, seems to hold players to account, and drives standards; his teams are often quite aggressive from what I've seen.
If he signs the deal i'll be right behind him, I'll be glad to get rid of sideways ball for a start.

He's been at quite unstable clubs in the past and often made decent work with what he has had, so hopefully with us having some decent individual quality, if he can find a formula that gels us together, we might pick up the points needed to stay up, from there we can hopefully build.

Please, Gary, please don't kill this optimism by immediately picking Luke Thomas and Ayew.

Not a lot a manager can do at this stage other than motivate. We need someone cheap and willing to come till end of season and for me Nige stuck out as the obvious choice, but was always gonna be a problem for rudkin

Why do people keep mentioning this relic. ffs give it a rest he is so washed up its unreal. he is ill and a shit manager for the last 10 years when in work.  No one with an ounce of sanity would have him here!
