Ice never been convinced by Gerrard as a manager to be honest. Just because he was a great player, doesn't make him a great manager. He might attract the players, but if he's tactically inept, then it's pointless. 

 

He's not the answer, and I'd prefer someone who has been there before. Look how RvN turned out. Once bitten and Al that.

I'm not thrilled about it either mate, but it seems Rowett is the one who wants it. I don't think Gerrard is realistic right now.

You clearly haven't studied what he did at Rangers so it's fair to assume why you are not convinced just because he is from Liverpool probably/

Fair enough, but not for me at this time, would rather have a fighter. Gerrard's time needs to come soon though or he might just pack it in.

Both came in from nowhere when it was expected to be Potter and Rohl.

On Gerrard, we're not an attractive job.  His rep isn't particularly good in English football so he's not going to join a club that's on the brink of relegation. If we went down, he's finished, even if it weren't his fault, so why risk it? Would probably fancy it in the summer if we stayed up.  Maybe even if we didn't as he'd probably expect to walk league one.

I'd probably gain a little bit of respect for him if he took it on when there's little upside this season.
