This is literally just completely not true and im convinced some of you had just decided this was the case before even watching a single game under him and have refused to take any of the actual positive changes into account.

1. Under King we have played more direct, we have moved the ball quicker and tried to get balls into the box

2. There has been a clear increase in intensity in how we are playing and he obviously got some of the players on side

3. In cifuentes last 5 games we barely registered 1 shot on target each match under King we have had at least 2 or 3 decent chances every game

Look its not good clearly and there are still huge improvements to me made but to suggest nothing has changed and there have been no improvements is ridiculous.

King has tried to change things and there are positive signs e.g. the first half at Southampton.

He's clearly not a miracle worker and still inexperienced and making changes with this squad will take time but he is making slow improvements and to suggest otherwise is a bit disrespectful.

Having said that im not suggesting keeping him on just really don't like the unwarranted incorrect hate he seems to be getting from alot of people on here

Did you read that back before posting it?

Christ, you've really had to scrape the barrel for positives just for the sake of defending your beloved Andy King.

Sometimes it's important to separate sentiment.

I don't like being too critical of King, but he literally might as well have said to Marti on his way out "fancy leaving your notebook mate" Literally nothing has changed, evidenced by the results.

I mean, it's hardly insanity, but the point remains the same;

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

You've got Luke Thomas and Ricardo who make mistakes week in week out yet persistently start - Guess what, they continue to start, they continue to make mistakes and they continue to cost us points.

You've got Mavididi & Fatawu who have been completely sussed out. How about change things around? Swap sides? cut in less, adapt tactics to make them more unpredictable and to surprise the opposition? Nah, lets just keep things the same, we'll leave Monga and the new lad we've signed on loan on the bench - After all, Fatawu is capable of the odd cracking consolation goal.

How about up top? Tell you what, Daka's just scored for the fist time in 9 years, he might have some confidence, he certainly looks like he's playing with a bit of confidence. Nah, fvck that, lets bring Ayew in to slow down the play and destroy any momentum.

Come on, if it wasn't Andy King, who ever is running this circus would be getting absolute dogs abuse. Granted, its unfair on him the appointment, but he's still earning decent coin, he's still got all his coaching badges etc - I still expect to see some kind of positive change.

I agree with you about the wingers I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now not one manager of recent times has ever swapped the wingers over just to at least give the opposition fullbacks something different to think about. How often has Fatawu been doubled up on his side and stifled him nearly every game.

It might not work...but when your wingers are being rendered essentially completely ineffective, surely there's a point where you at least try to change things and experiment? What's the worst that can happen when we are getting turned over every single week anyway.

King isn't someone who's been plucked off the streets. He's been around professional football just about his whole life, he's been around numerous different managers and has earned all his badges / qualifications. Rightly or wrongly, I am not giving him as much of a free pass as others.

This isn't just about King though, something should have happened with Mavididi & Fatawu a long time ago. Whilst i often have some degree of doubt over Mavididi, i believe both players are much better than they are set up to be allowed to play.

Seriously?  Under Cifuentes he was a coach all our players have been coached to play how we play King is part of that.  You, conveniently fail to mention the god awful tactics and performance 2nd half against Southampton at home.  Like, under Cifuentes, we tried to hold onto what we had. We failed miserably.  Old adage

of what did he say to them at halftime.  All our squad look totally unfit which in itself is a travesty.

King, I feel sorry for, in respect of he has been thrown under the bus by Top and Rudkin.

However, he is culpable for the mess we are in Club legend or not.

Results, speak for themselves four games four defeats.

Again as a junior coach King can’t exactly go up to the manager and say ‘Marti mate, your tactics are a bit crap’ he has to implement what him and his senior team wanted

Even as a senior coach you can be limited e.g. Chris Davies was part of the worst relegation in Premier league history when he was here with Rodgers, didn't exactly pull up stones with Ange at Tottenham either but has done really well at Birmingham.

Brian Barry-Murphy was part of the team that got absolutely destroyed under RVN in the Prem doing very well with Cardiff now

Shakespeare was part of Ranieris team when it started to go wrong then turned us around

You can't judge someone's managerial skills on there time as a coach Under someone else

37 pages and we’re still no nearer appointing the guy or closing the thread because discussions have fallen through.

I know it's nitpicking but how is this not already done? This should be the easiest move ever.

I'm sure it has been done for some time. However, the club haven't had the time to announce it given all the best wishes they are putting out about various religeous bollox. It takes time making sure that none are missed.

With all due respect, the poster above and myself have watched the games. You said you haven't been since the Spanish frauds shit fest back November, which incidentally is when the useless fraudulent ****ed should have been sacked. When the players have had several months of utterly crap coaching from Marti and his senior team, its going to take time to undo that shitness. King has said time and time again, hes doing this to help out, hes openly admitted hes not the man for the job. Hes at the early days in his coaching career, hes not exactly going to storm in and tell Marti hes a useless goon.

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing it is done and it's just the announcement to happen.

Hopefully, him and Callum Davidson are on the training pitches, right now, taking their first session.

I fully expect photos from the club, this evening, with everything confirmed!

ffs, please be the case!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are probably automated posts that were scheduled months ago so aren't taking up any time this week but you probably knew that lmao

He's got a job on his hands to get us to be any good defensively but surely it's possible with Nelson and Lascelles when he's back. I think i'd get Aluko in as a 3rd CB and play Fatawu as a wingback with Kristiansen the other side. Make it vulgar.

Vulgar, crude, pissboiling football that can unite the masses.

Ball goes in the channel, win the second ball, compact the block.
