Got to win the next two at home against mid table teams.

Win the next two?

We have only won once in this calendar year!

He's not a miracle worker, so don't think we could have expected to suddenly get clean sheets, a good work ethic and a few wins already...as much as I'm disappointed we haven't picked them up lately.

Clean sheet still looks a distant possibility at this moment in time, but we do look more resilient than before. And we've only lost 1 of 4 matches, that match being the in-form team in the league...I'm slightly clutching at straws, but if not for the poor work ethic against Norwich, I'd say we can see some progress.

The problem is that we need to see rapid impact—a new manager bounce, if you will. I'm worried about it being too little, too late. And those home games do not fill me with confidence. We seem better away.

Definitely got a wiff of the Dean Smith stint about it

If we were a good side he wouldn't be here.

He knows that it's the 'perfect' opportunity for him, at a club that has gradually declined, for him to make his mark and to see if he can kick-start and progress the club again as well as his own managerial credentials.

It wasn't a criticism of him. He needed to make us harder to beat because we were too easy to beat. We have an imbalanced, overpaid squad with a crap mentality, worsened by the shambolic running of the club putting us even greater in the mire. Was given no leeway by being appointed with us wasting winnable matches and ending up in the bottom three.

He is here for a reason but has been dealt an early crap hand thanks to the "best owners in football".

I don't expect much, but he's got to find a way to drop at least one of Ricardo and Thomas. Both, ideally.

Very hard to win points when it's so easy to get in behind us down both flanks, deliver crosses from each side and easily pick men out at each back post.

I'd expect any manager worth his salt to recognise that. With the squad we have, any alternative comes with its own issues, but I'm struggling to imagine anything worse. Totally nullifies our wingers as well, since they (rightly) are very aware of how exposed we are behind them. There's a difference between having to track back and having to effectively play as second left and right backs.

Go on, imagine it, who are the replacements?

Aluko has to start on the left. Thomas is genuinely thee worst footballer I have seen in years at this club, and there’s been a fair few. Either that or go 3-5-2 and get rid of the fullbacks completely. Neither option will happen though.

He’s improved us, however it’s still not exactly amazing.

It is very much like the Dean Smith situation. I just hope our inability to act and those two missed game don’t cost us like last time. Still blows my mind that it took us so look to appoint a manager who was out of work.

Form wise, we are not 18th in the table over the last 4 games.

Our last 10 game form we were 23rd.

So it’s an improvement.

His goal is to keep us in this league.

Matt Bloom has got a better bounce than have so far with Rowett. The Oxford / Blackburn game on Wednesday is massive. I see a world where both us and WBA get relegated and Oxford stay up.

The Leicester Bristol game is bigger. We win that. It all on us. We have winnable games, I just don’t know if we’ll win them.

I think they’re all massive to be honest.

We’ve still got Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn as well.

Looking at the fixtures, we’ve maybe got the easiest run in on paper.

However what the table doesn’t show is that mid table teams maybe take the foot off the gas now if they’re safe, or can’t get playoffs.

So who knows.

We just need to start winning games of football and take it one step at a time, starting with Bristol City on Tuesday.

4 matches and zero wins. This is the fella people were saying is good enough for the job.

How can you be Top and Rudkin out but Rowett in? Rowett makes that PE teacher from Lincoln City look like Pep.

Rudkin has brought in yet another dud of a manager and you're all lapping it up.

In those 4 matches we’ve played two teams in the top 6 and the best form team this calendar year. What you expecting? We’re in a relegation battle ffs.

Not sure anyone is lapping it up, but weve seen an improvement in fight, effort and defensive structure. In our current situation, its an improvement at least. But likely won't be enough.

There’s an argument to say these things were evident in the interim games before Rowett joined.

That’s correct to an a degree, but the second half collapse to Soton under  Andy showed no fight or character.
I believe if we had won that 3-1 we’d have gained a lot of confidence and momentum.

He’s not offered anything different. If anything, youth getting pushed to the side.

If they’re good enough they’ll play, ask Nelson. We’re in a relegation battle, it’s not time to play youth for the sake of it. I like Page but you can see he needs to become stronger.

Only the Norwich game has been a blip for Rowett in a run of fixtures that would have been tough for any manager.

If we’d have won 3-1, Andy would still be manager.

I suggested a week or so ago people shouldn’t just be looking up but needed to watch Oxford

And Bobby, Okoli and Ayew are good enough? Same thing different manager.

I like the fact that he has nicked 3 points away from home which should always be your goal if you can’t win away from home. There’s definitely more spirit and fight in the away games for sure and we have been ahead at some stage in all three of those games.
He should have been appointed straight away after the Oxford game but the ‘amateurs’ never learn do they!

Hopefully he keeps us fighting and we get out of the mess sooner rather than later! But in true Leicester fashion I can see it going to the last game. The week we play Wednesday away is interesting as Portsmouth play Oxford and Blackburn play West Brom.

These players don’t have the mental capacity (and cojones) to play at home in front of their own fans. People saying our next two games are at home and we need to win both, yeah it’s not the advantage to us that it would be for any other team in any league in the world.

But it's on the players to be professional and do what they are paid to do!.

If some spit the dummies out cause the past managers have tried something they don't like we'll it's still on them to play the game to the best they can.

Gradual decline?? Fell off a cliff

.Went down with Barnes, Maddison  Tielamans Ndidi, Vardy, KDH, Castagne. What a discrace! Nice one Rogers and Rudkin and Top for letting it happen.

Hopefully Rowett can stop the rot.
