It's what we do ON the pitch which, given our perilous position, is more important.

It seems the hierarchy have rearranged the deck chairs on the 'Titanic'!!

The good news is, we're on page 8 and no one has mentioned "Del Boy went on a gap year to south east asia" has been hired as our Commercial Director.....

Probs cause no one has done as much research on him in particular, but I did think of you when I read it lol

This has really pissed me off!Put more people on the wage bill while we are hurtling towards L1.It's not these people are going to feel the relegation.....It's the Stewards,Tea ladys and those kinds when they are laid off.

Just a taste of what might be to come.... (although we did just sack Compass lol)

An excerpt from a deep dive into Wolves 'kit manufacturer'

And because Sudu is a newly launched offshoot of Levy Merchandising, Wolves’ retail and wholesale partner, the same firm will control the kit from manufacturer to sale, reducing the costs and increasing the club’s share of the profits.

As for Fosun’s involvement, club sources, who wished to remain anonymous to protect relationships, told The Athletic that Levy UK and Ireland, Sudu’s ultimate parent company, is completely independent of Wolves’ owners. Levy UK and Ireland is owned entirely by Compass Group, a British multinational company.

But Fosun Sports Group does have a stake in Sudu, a subsidiary of Levy Merchandising, which in turn is an offshoot of Levy UK and Ireland, and Fosun Sports Group is the subsidiary of Fosun, which owns Wolves and other brands such as Wolves’ esports teams, Wolves Records and gaming companies in Asia.

Fosun’s most notable previous venture into clothing was through Fosun Fashion Group, which was renamed Lanvin Group in 2021 and was valued at more than $1.5billion (£1.1bn) when it was listed on the New York Stock Exchange last year.

The length of the Sudu deal has not been disclosed, but it is understood to be a ‘long-term’ agreement that runs at least until Wolves’ 150th anniversary in 2027.

The deal brings Wolves closer to their former general manager of commercial operations Vinny Clark, who left last October to join Levy Merchandising, which became their merchandising partner a few months later, taking charge of selling club merchandise.

Levy UK has been Wolves’ hospitality provider since 2019.

As I've said, it reads that McCarron will lead and head up the departments (Recruitment, Sports Science.. Possibly even academy) but Rudkin will have final say. Basically whatever changes nothing changes.

Not at all! I'm the same......they say the Apple doesn't fall from the tree......but in Top's case it was kicked away from the orchard!

So we can't afford to sign any players yet can increase our wage bill for more office boys.

Not to worry though, when the administrator is appointed he'll get rid of most of these

The video of Mcarron explaining how his team should have had 6 wins instead of the 4 they had doesn't fill me with confidence.

Seems like he had a remit of taking CFG's policy and implementing that at Lommel. So aside from having a fairly limited task he's not really done much.

Underwhelmed at this and my instinct is that he'll try to force through absolutely turgid Russell Martin style football.

The one positive is that his experience has been in youth development and we really do need someone who can tap into the youth market and bring through fairly cheap players that we can develop and sell on.

So, I suppose I'm not too optimistic but can definitely see potential for optimism lol

The wolves fella sounds like more of the same. Deal with random asian companies and trying to replace the legacy fans with day trippers. Good luck in league one with that.

Then a couple of promotions for people who have been in position at the club during a massive period of under performance.

How can you be finance director/controller at the club for several years and oversee the past 4/5yrs of financial mismanagement, but then 'stepped in' when we faced difficulty about PSR?

Where the fvck was he beforehand, and what the fvck was he doing?!

Simon Capper was Finance Director here before moving to Newcastle in 2023... so in reality,  Kevin will have been managing through the mess that was left behind.   Those long term contracts and spend happened long before he will have taken the reigns.

For all we know, it COULD have been him that's put the brakes on player spending, to protect the club as much as possible.

Lots of people will go through a career journey of FC, Finance Director and then CEO, it's not an uncommon trajectory.

I'm sure our resident CFO @Tommy G will know colleagues and peers that have made that transition.

I certainly know of plenty from my professional career.

Incompetent at your job? Ran a company into the ground and left it in financial ruin?

If you answered yes, Leicester City wants you!

Good grief Top is so thick. Thick on the pitch and dense off it, we have no chance.

Financial controller to CEO in 3 years just wouldn’t happen at any other organisation of this size.

Just as they wouldn’t appoint a Thai supply chain manager as interim MD.

Davies hasn’t started cutting the headcount (it’s grown with a completely unnecessary role with Rudkin’s promotion), hasn’t mothballed Belvoir drive and consolidated the teams into training at Seagrave.

He hasn’t cut the flamethrowers, the clappers, the egregious amount of stewards (home and away, away stewards ffs) or any of the other superfluous crap.

If he hasn’t been able to affect any change as FD, then taking a promotion to line his own pockets whilst working under the same ineffective owner and board is immoral.

We’re running headfirst into abyss and these appointments are essentially saying run faster.

of "what size" are you referring to though? because our T/O is what? - £110m at best.

That's a Mid-Sized business in reality. I could list 100 businesses in the East Midlands with a larger turnover without even having to think about it. And in Mid Size businesses, those type of career moves do happen over time.  He's been in the Organisation for 12 years. Operated as FC, got the Step up to FD when Simon Capper left and he may have been very commercially astute around the board table in that time. We don't actually know.

now, it may be the case, that we could have got a CEO from another football club. But by definition, it would either be from a smaller club, or from someone making the step up. Because no one is leaving a bigger club as CEO to come here.   Everyone would either be complaining that thew CEO was from a tin pot club OR that they have never been a CEO before.

At least this way, we have a CEO who understands the current operating environment. The financial challenges, how we are navigating that.

It's the same with the other appointments, LCFC are a stepping stone club.  It's either, someone from a really big club wanting to step up or its someone who have an ok track record from a similar sized competitor.

I'm sure plenty of people were expecting Dan Ashworth to arrive... but that isn't the reality.

Just to reiterate my point...

So Just to Confirm

No Change at all, but we'll rename our roles and try to convince the fans that "shit" is actually "caviar" because we called it so

I assume no one actually wanted to work with our board and so they had no option - because seriously would you want to work for Top and Rudkin!

People like yourself deserve the current state the club is in. You enable and make excuses for the horrid decisions being made.

He’s ludicrously under qualified to be CEO.

We essentially need an experienced turnaround specialist and we’ve appointed somebody that has only been FD for two years. Would any of those business appoint a new CEO that was up until two years in a mid management position, from an organisation that has performed terribly? No.

All the while our finances have been a disaster (largely not his fault) but what he has been able to control has seen little

to no movement. We’ve got a light show coming up against Bristol City, what sort of FD let’s shit like that slide at a time of financial peril
