They're presumably calling for him over Mavididi, who has played about three times as many minutes but is level on goals + assists. Monga's "plenty of chances" have seen him start two league games since October while the guy getting picked ahead of him is contributing basically nothing.

 

To add to this, the most recent of those two starts was Rowett's first game at Stoke, when he set up our equaliser. Didn't get off the bench in the subsequent five games and the three minutes he got against Preston were the only ones he's had since.

over Mavididi, who has delivered nothing given far more playing time than Monga. Monga has been underwhelming but his plenty of chances has been off the bench for 10 minutes at a time

Great news that they’ve been able to scrape enough bits of Daka’s leg off the Preston players boots and rebuild him, I had my concerns.

 

No James is a blow again, I’ll say it again Mavididi has to step up and offer a goal threat too, it’s so lopsided at the moment relying on Fatawu worldies from the other wing. Mukasa too, today could be his day.
