Nobody can ever take that away from us and it's memories I'll treasure for my whole life. But to go from that to what we are now in the space of a decade is honestly almost impressively bad. I don't think you could actually have done a better (worse) job if you tried

I've been guilty of questioning whether this all taints the league and Fa cup win, and after giving my head a wobble it absolutely doesn't. It's like talking about two completely different clubs

100% this.

top and Rudkin have destroyed us his dad was the brains behind our success it def does not tarnish what he helped us achieve

When people say that I lack respect for Top, I think it's a reasonable response to say that putting down our collapse to incompetence rather than sabotage is kind. Not because I believe he's doing this on purpose - not for one second - but because it's so, so bad, that it kind of looks that way.

It's like people who looked at the questions asked of Trump's closeness to Putin a decade ago, wondering whether he'd do everything he could to embolden his supposed enemy. Now he has apparently done exactly that, there are three camps. Those who say that this is because he's in Putin's pocket, those who say he isn't but it looks like he is, and those who say that there's nothing whatsoever to see here. You can debate two of those viewpoints, and the third is hysterically removed from reality.

This almost mirrors where we are with the Top debate. It's silly to say that he's done this on purpose, even if it damn well looks like it. But if he hasn't, which would of course be malevolent beyond words on his part, then the only other logical explanation is that he's an incompetent of historical proportions. This is, of course, the overwhelmingly logical conclusion, and way easier to arrive at than it would be to laugh off the possibility of any murky kompromat which explains DJT's foreign policy.

The only truly, truly dumb way of looking at things; the third option, and akin to those who actually defend Trump's presidency, is the mad idea that our owners have been anything other than diabolical.

Their failures and the culture they have nurtured in the post-Pearson era has led us here. The entire thing is rotten and impossible to thrive in. We're detestable because we've allowed ourselves to become detestable.

I genuinely find it scary that only one of our last four managers has really put his finger on why we are where we are, and that was the utterly unqualified Ruud, who grew hoarse moaning about our low standards and lousy culture. At some point the whole club and, hopefully, a better manager than Ruud, needs to address this.

This iteration of LCFC is about the worst one possible - I didn't even realise it was possible for it to be this detestable.

It makes watching them fail a bit easier tbh though.

There is absolutely nothing positive about the club.  Football should be an enjoyable thing and a release from peoples day to day grind but id actually rather be in work these days than watch our games. I find myself getting so angry and annoyed when I watch us which I end up taking out on my wife and kids so most of the time now, I dont even bother.

I've watched Leicester for over 30 years and I've never felt such disgust and hatred towards the club than I do now.

Football in general though is absolutely shite these days and until they sort out the wages and finances and start making the sport for the fans again, rather than ripping everyone off with ticket prices, shirt prices, TV subscriptions etc, it will just continue to get worse and become a completely unwatchable sport.

100% agree with this, absolutely how I feel

The fanbase is the thing I hate most about the club. It's the biggest reason why I find myself questioning what it actually is that I'm supporting. I'm a believer in supporting your local club because of the sense of pride you're meant to get from supporting something that is meant to represent you.  It’s why I've never understood how a Man United or Liverpool fan from Kent after seeing them on tele can feel the same connection as people that follow their local club or a club that has been passed down to them through generations. However, it appears that I'm so out of step with the majority of this fanbase and I can't relate to it at all. It just doesn't represent me.

I’m a fan of the club, not the owners and certainly most of the current crop of players. I hope we can finally have a reset we despressly need and from that, i  can support the players of the club I love.

We won the prem.

Weve won the FA Cup, Charity Shield and League cup all in the modern era.

Weve always filled away ends up and down the country.

The 95-2001 era was incredibly entertaining in that we were literally the best pub team in the land.

Outside of London, Manchester or Liverpool there’s no one close to what we’ve done.

But yeah the past 4-5 years are tainting it.

17 league wins since we got promoted 2 years a go

Didnt think 700 days ago on claiming the Championship trophy we would be getting relegated from it this time in 2 years.

No. Soulless club playing in a soulless ground. Too many more bothered about defending and worshipping an owner who couldn't care less about them. The continued use of the hideous clappers. The regular rule-breaking. The dull, overpaid players who infest our squad. The shambolic treatment of supporters.

I am sure there is more.

None of that is who we are now. I'm asking what's likeable about us now?
