Thelin really started well but burnt away badly.

But that actually tells us a lot about him as a manager. His good start masked his inability to be practical when changes need to be made. I just don't think that type of manager is who we need when we are playing on poor pitches, needing to pull out some ugly wins, and against sides that will park the bus and ask us to break them down.

Isn't he supposed to be a long ball specialist? Not an expert, so I may well be wrong, but I vaguely remember that being the case when we were last linked.

What if it isn’t a battle? What if Rudkin’s ‘promotion’ was actually a way of moving him aside while sparing him any embarrassment over a perceived demotion? I’ve seen it so many times in my line of work—people ‘promoted’ to positions that ostensibly carry more responsibility but in reality involve far less involvement on day-to-day decision-making. To me, the McCarron/Rudkin arrangement has all the hallmarks of that.

It would certainly be a masterstroke

I just don’t believe many would believe Top being capable of such masterstrokes, understandably so I guess, look at the mess we are in.

But I feel what you say here is at the very least “plausible” from my own personal opinion. And I guess the only way we’ll find out is after a certain amount of time has passed.

I have heard just the other day though that we are genuinely interested in Russel and have actually spoken to him, which doesn’t excite me I have to say, doesn’t mean we are getting him so I’m still hopeful for other managers we are linked with, but yeh that was disappointing to hear.

If it is to be Russel and through McCarron’s choosing, what if they are a partnership that ends up just working? Russel has certain needs to help aid him, what if the managing up too McCarron is the click he needs to aid him? Perhaps McCarron feels their vision are in tune and aligned and could actually be a really good partnership?

In truth I just hope it’s not him, but in case it is him, I’ve got to put myself in some sort of hopeful mindset on the new guy in McCarron.

I think Dave Challinor would be my go to at this stage but I dare say he’s pretty sort after at the moment with some pretty big links flying around, but I do believe we are trying with him also.

Your points make sense my friend, and I truly hope you are correct.

Like you I have no idea as to who it will, or even should be.

But to contradict myself a smidge, I just can't shift this nagging gut feeling that the lure of Russell "B-Tec Rodgers" Martin's brand of possession based dog sh1t will be too great for the incompetent, clueless Nepo Baby too resist.

His so far unending quest to play like Man City, so that we can "Promote next season"  is too ingrained in the waddling little horse lover,  and I fear with Martin's out of work status, in 'Kvnt' Top's eyes it's too good of an opportunity not to repeat the same mistake of offering a ludicrous salary to get him to "lower his standards" and.join us in League One.

Do you have a problem with Top?

Every now and again I get a little bit of inside information, and I have a bit of news regarding candidates for the next manager..

Again, take this with a pinch of salt, but I'm told that up to a few weeks ago the shortlist was either Jimmy Thelin (ex Aberdeen) or Lee Johnson (Lommel).  I cant say if this has changed more recently given the managerial roundabout, but you get the level we are looking at.  Maybe other names have been added recently, who really knows??

On a side note, what I have also been told is that Whelan told Top it was either her or Rudkin.  He chose Rudkin and she left!!

Another reason I despise this Cnut.

The last bit is true so believe the first bit. At least there's no mention of Martin!

In an alternate reality, LCFC is a competently run club with Enzo Maresca off to Man City after successfully winning the League Cup in his third season as LCFC manager thanks to star player and captain KDH as commercial revenues hit record highs.

There have hardly been any at all for the past few months. TalkSport Bet were apparently running one for a bit, but I think it was the only one. Possibly Bet Victor at one point too. The rest haven't touched us.

Reason being .... we are a rudderless league 1 team ...  nobody gives a fu*k .... we aren’t news anymore

Yes... Don't you also?

Probably not. His posts seem to indicate that he's a KPFC supporter and that you should be careful what you wish for.

Surely it’d just be quicker for him to just block Rudkin’s number… “Frank, Jon here again. We should lunch. I think this is your number but errr not heard back from you. Anyway, call me.”

I know very little about Thelin, but his record at Aberdeen is bonkers. 10 wins in his first 11, but then 5 wins in the next 27. First cup win in 11 years but then sacked after less than 2 years..... there's a lot to unpick there.

To anyone who knows Scottish football, what style of play does he favour? Please don't tell me he's another tippy tappy possession-obsessed knobber.
