Challinor with Pearson back as director of football would be a pleasant surprise. Two serious men in the building for the first time in 5+ years that combined would be capable of rebuilding the club.

 

That's probably our best case scenario right now.

It isn’t going to happen given we have only just appointed McCarron as sporting director and no way Pearson comes back until Rudkin clears off.

I really hope Challinor is under consideration however I have a feeling he goes to Salford, just something I had heard.

Yea, our situation is so dire that's it's just a necessary no-brainer to get someone in who understands the culture and what it takes to build it back up from scratch.

 

McCarron is too green for this assignment and we all know about Rudkin, so I guess I'm just clutching at straws in hopes we'd hire the right people that would allow us to move forward in spite of Top and Rudkin.

 

I've basically accepted that the only way is down until Top and Rudkin are gone, but it's the glimmer of hope that kills you.

It would be a sideways move at best, with his record he deserves a step up at a bigger club. He did mention in his interview that he's ambitious so that rule Salford out imo.

Like many on here, my vote would be for Challinor. I don't think that's completely unrealistic. 

My fear is that the club is in too much of a mess for any manager to fix. I hope I'm proved to be wrong.

I could see the club having the same level of arrogance as Russell Martin when it comes to hiring a manager. 
Top and Rudkin will think that Challinor is beneath them and they can do a lot better. 
Which clearly is absolute nonsense. 
If rumours were true they actually thought they had a chance of getting Enzo back. 
Challinor should be in asap.

Just get the obsession done with. They have had talks with him about the job three separate times. McCarron might as well not been appointed 
 

Worst / Best Outcome - he lasts six months, king power’s decision making further under scrunity, and the exit plans start to play out 

 

Best / Worst Outcome - we get promoted, but by November we are 22nd in the league and the club is more attractive for a manager and an owner 

 

Just get it over and done with

This is probably too big a car wreck for Challinor, or any one man, alone.

 

We need a manager to take care of training and match day and a director of football to deal with the rotten culture and putting out all of the fires.
