I can’t see it being Martin I only assume the deal has fell through and Martin has had a change of mind. Would/Should have been wrapped up by now. Can only hope that Challinor was next on the list of candidates.

Similar thing happened with Marti. They seem to take an age getting paperwork done. They are obsessed with RM, and they will do anything they can to make it happen.

Marrying to one playing style, and being pals with Maresca, doesn't help us pivot.

I just want this done, and out the system. Hopefully, the destruction is minimum, and we can move again.

Challinor is the only obvious choice. But these people are delusional about the club status, rank, and profile. We need a Martin George type manager right now. And Challinor fits like a glove.

Martin George...now there's a man who knew how to choose a manager

If it was gonna be Martin I would have thought they’d have announced by now that Rowett has left.
The longer this drags on the less likely it’ll be Martin.
Yes I know I am clutching at straws.

Shipman stood aside and he promoted Gordon Lee as the replacement for Pleat. He kept us up and George brought in Little, who revived the club. Then McGhee, who started the rebuild post-Little and established us in the promotion places to bounce back in 95/96. Then he brought in O'Neill and stood up to the likes of Shipman who wanted him out. And if I remember correctly Elsom stood aside for George when Adams came in for Bassett too.

He still attends games so it might not be a terrible idea to pick his brains on the new boss. It's hard to imagine the Van Nistelrooys, Cifuentes and Martins of the world getting his seal of approval.

Can you back up this claim that the 'idea is objectively right'?  The risk of an interception on your own penalty area seems much greater than the potential reward to me.

Plus it makes you look a tit.

Because professional footballers are able to take a touch and pass the ball 99 times out of 100 and a player over pressing leads to space in behind.

The risk is minimal.
