Superpants82 Posted 22 April Posted 22 April Absolute cult mentality, Top and Rudkin are like Warren Jeff's to these people I swear it. 1
FoxesTez Posted 22 April Posted 22 April It’s a disease. I can’t believe how many of them there are and I am disgusted to be associated with them. 1
Popular Post LinekersLugs Posted 22 April Popular Post Posted 22 April Few observations: 1. Football has become gentrified. The current pricing structure encourages a middle-class crowd looking for a night of theatre, with little to no tribal instinct, all seater stadiums and the near £1000 for two adult seats has destroyed the working man’s ability to follow the team and express their tribal instincts. 2. Passion and extreme emotions seem to fade with age. The ability to get hyped or angry has become noticeably muted in our support. The main reason? Our fanbase is too old and as above too middle-class. Many bought season tickets when the Tigers declined and football became the hottest ticket in town. Over time, they’ve aged. and become trauma-bonded to failing owners through the helicopter tragedy. 3. Sadly, only a change of ownership will bring a real clear-out. That said, League One football and “kids for a quid” might help rebalance things. We need a refresh both on the pitch and in the stands Sadly the team I started to follow died on Filbert street, 2016 gave me memories and moments to be cherished, but if I’m honest I much preferred the Martin O’Neill era to the KPFC era I’m not a glory hunter; how could I be I support my local club issue is my local club has been highjacked and taken from me by foreign owners and fans that have no investment in the outcome 6
Trumpet Posted 22 April Posted 22 April To anyone saying they understand the clapping as backing the team and providing motivation - this bunch of players do not respond to anything. They don’t deserve a single clap. They do not care about you or this football club. 3
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 22 April Popular Post Posted 22 April I listening in to the WYS pod just to see what was said… and someone claimed booing winks was “embarrassing” when he came over to take a corner….. So it’s not embarrassing to not follow orders from your supervisor, when you’re paid at the time (allegedly £100k a week) and essentially refuse to play for the club….. That’s ****ing embarrassing. 7

The Doctor Posted 22 April Posted 22 April 6 hours ago, Dan said: I'm increasingly convinced the best case scenario is two phoenix clubs. The kind of joke style statement that started with thinking this owner could take us down to League One. Well that played out. I share absolutely nothing with these people. They are enemies. you know full well the moment the splinter club is doing better than KPFC, these idiots will be trying to show up. Blind sheep who don't understand what it means to be a fan. I blame anyone clapping in recent weeks as much as the rest for the state of the club, freaks who'd sooner hold other fans to account than ask any slightly uncomfortable questions of the board, manager and players. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 22 April Posted 22 April I think people read a bit too much into clapping. Every club as them, they don't care that much what happens, they probably didn't over celebrate our success too. Vast majority are older who are just their out of routine and habit. People clapping as not caused our demise. 1
tinpot_fox Posted 22 April Posted 22 April 4 hours ago, Dan said: Supporting Wednesday would depress me less than this in 2026. Despite absolutely everything they are going through. They at least have togetherness. They aren't a totally fragmented fanbase. Their players try. These fundamental things matter more to me than finishing 1 place higher in the league. These things will help them repair in the end. We are not only screwed but haven't a single thing to cling onto that tells you it will get better. Literally - not one thing. There is no good fight. 6 hours ago, Kitchandro said: Basically, they’re not fans. And I know that sort of thing gets thrown around a lot, but these people don’t have the first prerequisites of being a supporter. They aren’t vocal, they aren’t emotionally involved, and they don’t have pride in it because pride = standards. They’re just people who go to the football to pass the time. The epitome of a consumer. Buy the merch etc. Purple Ronnie mentioned it but it’s the result of football declining from a more organic, community-centred passion to what it is now, a business. People are well within their rights to say I’m not a fan anymore either. I can’t associate with what football is now, I don’t respect players nor our fanbase. 6 hours ago, Globalfox said: The problem is the game has changed so many people now go for the event not the actual understanding of football. The tourists in the Directors Box giving me daggers for booing and hurling abuse at Winks. These people are not football fans and many will never stay the course of supporting for 50-60 years. That’s the modern game they go for a social event. True football fanatics are a dying breed I am sorry to say. Our age has gone forever I fear. 6 hours ago, Manwell Pablo said: I wouldn’t disagree, but that was one of the better performances I’ve seen this season. I wouldn’t have clapped them off myself but I can (admittedly only just about) see why someone could. if that was the level we’d of produced all season I think we may have finished lower mid table. I can understand why some people feel the need to clap but I can’t understand the anger at those not clapping or booing. These are players who were thought of as Champions league quality and some who have a good chance of playing the Champions league in the future (James & Mukasa… not Fats). I believe Rowett has tried to light a fire under them and also made sure they walked round and applauded the fans, I didn’t realise until Leicester Fan Tv said they missed some of the stadium. we were let down by some tippy tappy football for the first goal and actually did well going more direct. I’m genuinely confused by those trying to clap out the booing when winks came on, he told someone t F off after a match while on getting on the bus, that’s not family entertainment, that’s swearing and now it’s on social media so kids can see how to behave in public. Haven’t Wednesday been playing their youth players, like fans have been crying out for here. People on this forum have been saying it’s sort of good that not many younger players were involved tonight to protect them. But the reality is our younger players have been starved of minutes on the pitch for a few years so using them in the last three games is a bit moot. It’s likely some current players with few or no minutes will be starting next season. They’ll be strong tackles coming in next seasonand a lot of the players that have come through recently have been seen to be a bit light weight. Injuries incoming? I think some people see entertainment in a pounds per minute way, keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours for X amount of money and football is now part of that. Is Winks swearing and Hamza telling fans he’s staying next season part of the entertainment value? I'm confused by people on this forum linking Covid deniers with those who stayed indoors trying not to spread the virus and clapping the NHS workers who were dying at work with not enough correct PPE, but whose sacrifice is washed over or indeed co opted by those who sold the NHS the dodgy PPE in the first place. Beer at the football is something I’ll not do again, I can’t take it to my seat and don’t feel the need to socialise in the soulless concourse. I doubt I’ll get to my seat early again as the highlights reel I like to watch will now include a lot of the last 4 seasons. Moan about tigers fans all you like but they aren’t as vocal at Welford Road as they used to be anyway. Plenty of actual bars at the Welford Road ground and a bit of variety too. If you don’t like Rugby fans then you might have to suck it up when visiting Rugby fans come to see the “once mighty Leicester City FC” on a double match Saturday and can now actually get tickets. 1

Mr Miaghi Posted 22 April Posted 22 April The clapping the lads was shocking last night and there were plenty doing it. It doesn't surprise me though. Walking to and from the ground the comments I've heard this year during the first protest included... "look at those *****, dont they know where we used to be" all the way through to "if it wasn't for this family we wouldn't be here". Then last night 2 older fans on the walk home talking about how disgraceful it was that poor old Harry Winks was getting booed! "How is he supposed to play well when hes being booed". Felt like saying, for Fuchs sake he hasn't played well all season when he was being clapped! But it would have been a waste of breath. These people are part of the problem, but they arent going anywhere. It's exhausting. 2
foxfanazer Posted 22 April Posted 22 April Honestly just brain dead. They'd have clapped the captain of the Titanic as they were sinking
Dames Posted 22 April Posted 22 April These people have enabled the downfall of the club. They’ve allowed leadership to be lulled into a false sense of security and have acted as outriders for them by not allowing the atmosphere to get toxic. They aren’t fans, they are worthless, pathetic customers. 4

Stuntman_Mike Posted 22 April Posted 22 April These people need putting down. I understand clapping a bad performance or a loss etc. But this. We have just been relegated AGAIN, with the highest paid players in the league whose stats have proven they move the least. The absolute least you should expect from pampered millionaires is running. They do not give a fcuk about the fans clapping either. They can't believe their luck. They're openly taking the piss out of them. Where is their pride and self respect? If you clapped last night you're saying relegation is ok. It's not like you HAVE to clap. It's ok not to boo as well, if that's not what you're into and you're a bit of a reserved wet wipe, but applauding people who will be responsible for ordinary working class people losing their jobs.. they should be ashamed of themselves. This club is on the verge of serious finical mess (even more so than we already are) and they're complicit. It's all well and good being 'we'll bounce back', but this isn't last time. We're as likely to do a Charlton, Forest, Derby, Bolton etc and stay down for years as we are storm it again with a side above that level. But I guess these people will be there in an empty block 'out supporting' those that are good fans who've given up. ***** the lot of them. 3

I was genuinely astonished by the number applauding the players off tonight. There was hundreds around me. One bloke clapping had a bewildered look as to why people were booing. What's wrong with these people? I don't understand why so many people are constantly surprised. The type of fans that make up the majority of the fan base not just at leicester but at the vast majority of clubs in England are the type that won't get angry. The presenters lee hendry and tim sherwood on sky showed more anger than the leicester fans did. Edited 22 April by purpleronnie
Officer Doofy Posted 22 April Posted 22 April If this is our new type of fan they can have the club. Can't be in the same place as these scumbags as I'd probably end up getting arrested 2

leicester1993 Posted 22 April Posted 22 April (edited) If the situation was high effort all season, but just not good enough (e.g. Luton in Prem), I could understand it. But to clap this bunch of spineless, overpaid ***** because they ran around a bit for 30 minutes when we were already doomed is genuinely worthy of sectioning. Edited 22 April by leicester1993 1

King Power and our achievements since have made it default. We won something once and so now must show ourselves to be the top level serf cucks that we are. We have always had weird as **** fans who aren't quite wired up right though. 2
Popular Post FlyingMackem Posted 22 April Popular Post Posted 22 April We had a bit of in our fanbase, sadly. You get some fans where these kind of events don't bother them for longer than 5 minutes. I don't understand it myself. If you're not bothered about the club doing the best it can, then don't bother. It actually angered me seeing that women laughing at FT on the TV yesterday. She's seen a Premier League title, an FA Cup and Champions League football in recently memory, and now she's reduced to laughing minutes after being relegated to League One? It pisses me off that that kind of fan has seen things I'll never see. 17
