Clapping the players

If you clap players that have been shit all season and recently confirmed relegation you dont know much about football.

 

The players are not going through a blip and need a bit of support, they have let everyone down game after game for 2 seasons. couldnt give a shit about the club or its "fans" and have shown zero shame, continuing to collect their overpaid salaries despite being shockingly awful at their jobs.

 

Its not even about KPFC, you are just blissfully ignorant

I thought I had seen it all in terms of some

of our fanbase and their desire to clap, cheer and support the lads into the abyss but last night took the absolute piss, to clap a player every time he touched the ball, a player who has repeatedly downed tools, been a bad egg, fallen out with multiple managers and then to top it off told a group of fans to ‘fcuk off’ is a new low. 
 

Harry Winks epitomises the absolute dog turd culture and standards at our club. If anyone wants to look at why we are relegated for a second time in a row and 3 out of the last 4 seasons, he is exhibit number 1. He has treated this club with disrespect and shown his utter contempt time and time again and yet some choose to happily clap along his every touch to show their support to a player who has milked us for millions and thrown the club and multiple managers under the bus. 
 

words fail me, but no doubt I am an entitled, glory grabber whilst the ones who are culpable claim to be true fans backing lads. I genuinely give up.

Not even as if it was just a divide in Leicester fans, seems a fairly popular opinion that Winks was in the wrong and shouldn't be anywhere near the squad after what happened.

We was sat in the East Stand and was in disbelief when we was watching fans clap every Winks touch, there’s backing the lads and backing the lads but like you say he’s took the piss , I wished we appointed  Warnock after Cifuentes he wouldn’t have stood for any player power

In SK1, the poor woman in front of me destoyed her clapper, such was her enthusiasm to applaud Winks and drown out the boo boys

In fact her whole family went into a utter frenzy of clapping every time he touched the ball

I'm not a violent person, have never hit anyone in my life.

But given that I have cancelled my Season Ticket for next year and therefore a ban from the ground would have no effect, the temptation to smack her one, was incredibly hard to resist

Totally missing the point and the gravity of our clubs circumstances.

 

The hell bent quest to show and be seen as a loyal 'Superfan" by 'backing the lads, regardless of the league, through thick and thin' and all that sycophantic bull sh1t just because its the expected actions of a football fan is borderline brainwashing.

 

As I've posted elsewhere some fans are protesting and boycotting to hi-light obvious problems within the club.

 

Problems the 'loyal fans' activity ignore and condone whilst seeking entry into the "Cult of Superfan" and harangue those that don't want to join.

I remember seeing her down the bottom where I sit. There was a small crowd of mostly older folk clapping the players singing Leicester songs and looking down on those shouting abuse etc.

There has never been a divide on this scale in a fanbase in England. Absolutely convinced of that.

 

I was so ****ing right about this. I was saying this a while ago. I knew there was something very abnormal about it all. There are things that have happened in the last two years that have made me realise I have absolutely nothing in common with any of these people. They're not on the same side as me, and they haven't been for far longer than I realised.

I think it’s some kind of personal virtue signalling, a way for insecure people to convince themselves they are better than others to mask what they perceive to be their own, non-verbalised inadequacies.

 

They don’t actually believe what they say, it’s nothing to do with the owners or players, it’s just a vehicle for them to set personally defined comparisons to others.

 

That’s why they can smile and dance during circumstances that  are totally at odds with their supposed desires - the club, whose shirt they are wearing, is utterly failing on every level, yet they are happy. 

 

It’s nothing to do with football, or even supporting a club, it’s do to with them.

Find it hard to understand everything I saw last night. For a start, boycotts like last night do absolutely nothing, most tickets were already paid for in the form of season tickets. Tried saying it all week that if people just don't bother going it will be full of the happy clappers and they'll be standing out in their groups at the end, and that's exactly what happened. The players deserved to have had both barrels at the end, instead, they got clapped. I could see large groups in the other end in the kop going mad with clappers at the end, how?, why? Yet again we let the players, management and owners off very lightly last night.

For what it's worth, in our end I didn't hear anyone cheering winks when he did anything good, never mind just trotting round aimlessly, which is a small plus

They feel like rival supporters. I have so much more dislike towards them than Forest/Cov fans.

There does seem to be a correlation between people that post on Facebook about football and the happy clap brigade and its not just from our fans. I've read comments about our relegation from other fans that suggest that the fans that didnt turn up to Millwall aren't true fans and are just glory supporters. 

 

The lack of awareness of what is going on at the club isn't just within our fanbase. Every club seems to have these weird clapper folk that think supporting failure and a lack of effort is being a "super fan". People have compared it to Sheff wed and whilst they've had a hideous season, their players have actually given their all and fought for the club, many of which weren't even getting paid at one stage and are getting a fraction of the wages our over paid wasters get. 

 

The 2 situations are not comparable in the slightest in my opinion.

I literally saw a Wednesday fan saying this and saying not like Wednesday fans getting behind their team. I also saw a Leicester KP type saying the same.

 

Are these people oblivious to the fact Wednesday fans literally boycotted and protested to get their toxic owner out? I mean the KP fan probably has no clue about wider football but even then likely clapped the Wednesday fans during their protest on the opening day. The Wednesday fan should definitely know better. Presumably they were one of the handful of people who ignored their own efforts to protest and still turned up on their own in the stadium.

I think most intelligent people, football and in life and in our own and other fan bases now can see we are right. Obviously you have Cov and Forest fans more bothered about our downfall than their own clubs. Otherwise, anyone from another fan base saying this crap are literally their own clubs happy clappers and their own clubs are as unfortunate to have them as we are with the KP lot.
