Has cliff ginetta delivered a 'back the lads, rally the troops' style statement yet?

I'm on tenterhooks as to who they are giving man of the match to for the Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and Hull games. "Win lose or draw".

I’m just tired of the game in general, I go back a long way with the club and the last few years I’d describe them as exhausting.

I started my own Boycott after the final game for Vardy last season, I hate so much about the modern game, the lack of mavericks. VAR, crappy atmospheres and fans, King Power and Rudkin and these gutless players too.

I felt nothing this morning, as I think my detachment from the club started last summer.

No interest in the World Cup either!

Agree with a lot of this. I've fallen out of love with the game altogether now. I can't stand how corrupt the sport is and the fact every club is aiming for the prem which is the worst of the lot doesn't leave much point in following any of it. We talk about player wages all the time but forget the claws of nike, adidas, sky and the morally bankrupt people who run it. It's just a watered down version of the sport I loved and the fans are getting ripped off to make them all richer. I couldn't give a sh*t about any of it.

I'm off to support st Andrews next season and sit in the stands with a £4.50 pint while i'm doing it - fu*k em.

been near enough a full day and I just feel numb. Waiting for the sadness to kick in, but I burnt out the anger long ago. Roll on the end of the season when I can just enjoy drinking and losing to Haiti at 2am

The piss taking started this morning in the office, so I’ve found the perfect remedy for anyone who is subjected to such piss taking, especially from fans of clubs who have never won the premier league.

Call them a cųnt.

For some reason HR aren’t too happy, but can’t have it all, and it soon shuts them up.

It hasn't really come as a huge shock but was a strange second half - players all of a sudden found the sense of urgency we've lacked all season, but too little too late and some couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.

Looking forward to playing clubs we haven't played in a while and hoping for a massive clear out, including players and coaching staff - wipe the slate clean, clear the decks, erase and reverse this sh** show and find a new identity.

All we really need is a manager that demands that players run and give 100%, that's all we want to see...pashun

Me too actually. I was genuinely gutted last time, I felt a deep pit in my stomach - I was way more invested back then and I was just 20. Now it's just apathy and it seems I'm not alone.

Do you think some of it is that we've experienced the glory we thought we'd never achieved? Sort of "completed it mate"?

From the Sun article

It’s like a version of Manchester United Lite at the King Power – a mess on and off the pitch, terrible recruitment and anyone who leaves seems to improve (even Wout Faes).

lol

Will Daka become a goal scorer when he leaves

Not sure that anyone is in a position to piss take. Just refer to our honours board. Almost everyone of them would give up what they currently have for our 10 year Golden Era.

Not as if it's unprecendented. In the modern (Premier League) era the same falls have happened at similar sized clubs; Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Notts Forest, Derby, Man City, Ipswich etc. Shit happens.

Funnily enough it’s all come from Villa, Everton, Forest and unsurprisingly Cov fans. One of them came in with one of those M69 up and down T-shirts on, and a Villa fan put a Cov flag in the office…. Which is very sad.

There’s no point having the debate with them anyway, they talk about us as if we never won the league, and the reality is, we’ve had more money pass through our club than any of them have.

The only saving grace is I will enjoy watching Cov get battered every week.

Kind of. A part of what I loved about our success was we were sticking two fingers up to the ruling elite. I also felt like we'd influenced how the game was being played in the prem. Smaller teams weren't parking the bus and starting having a go at the big teams thinking " if Leicester can do it lets have a go". But always simmering away underneath was knowing they would eventually out spend everyone and the usual sh*t would resume. I've cancelled my season ticket and have walked away from not just how badly my club is being run but the sport in general and it's never going to change long term.
