I did wonder about this I had seen a rumour he has handed in a transfer request. Would be a cracking signing, but I think they paid about £4m for him and he has a couple of years left on his contract so might be an expensive deal to do.

Loan maybe? Though I guess of he's handed a transfer request in he'll want a permanent move

It did cross my mind whether we could do a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

£1.5m-rated Abdulmalik asks to leave Boreham Wood - Did someone link us to him at the start of the transfer window?

I know it was a Swedish club that offered £1m which was rejected, maybe now with him wanting out they will take that & he will become the new Vardy?

Kind of sounds like the sort of offer we'd make - 500K and you get it in 3 years time.

Apologies if in the wrong post. I have been watching the shambles that is the running of our club unfold but we seem to be plumbing even deeper new depths. It looks clear that none of Faes, Okoli, or Souttar want to be here, no surprises there and we really should just take what we can get, get their wages off the books and start over. This should have been done way back in the window, instead all 3 may now leave with no time to negotiate over any replacements, we will just have to shell out. Same goes really for Skipp and Mavididi. A complete reset was always needed. That reset should start from within. Bringing in old seasoned pro's for experience, why ??? bringing in other people's youngsters, why ??? our youngsters now need to play men's football to develop. If we had been in the Championship we'd have been looking to loan then out to League 1, so here's a no brainer play them and find out whether they are going to be good enough whilst getting all the higher earners out of the club. The youngsters that have started so far have showed more urgency and passion that we have seen for several years. We are not getting out of League 1 immediately, so let's build again sustainably from within. By the way, what does bringing in youngsters from other clubs say to our youngsters who are shut out, other than we don't think you are good enough, great management that !

There's nothing wrong with bringing in youngsters, or indeed old heads IF they improve the squad and hopefully the starting 11.  The issue of course is that we bring in shit or players who aren't perceptively better than what we have.  So no issue with the young lads from Man City and Brighton.  If the likes of Cullen and co don't improve then it's definitely a missed opportunity with some of our young forwards though.

Depend on your expectations, is he good enough for a team in the PL or challenging for promotion in the championship is different to being good enough to get us out of league 1.

 

If is a loan as well.
