Another striker and CB is essential. CM with physicality 3rd priority

Not if both Choudhury and Skipp are going…

Dobson is actually a decent addition but all depends how much we're offsetting the Souttar fee for him.

He's not worth more than £1m - 1.5m

Agreed, Souttar plus £5m for Keillor-Dunn and Dobson feels like fair business all round in my opinion.

I don't think Skipp will be leaving.

Probably not but for me he gets Checkatrade games and that's it. Neale can be on the bench if necessary.

Doubt Skipp or Okoli will leave. Sorry to disappoint those that want them gone

Okoli is another who should get checkatrade games. Not good enough and no longer needed. We have to move on.

Matty James has potential to be some player

I love Matty James he had such rotten luck with injuries with us, but when played was classy. But that was the past

Getting players like Dobson is dreadful idea.

If we do get out of league one this season which looks questionable at moment we'd simply have to replace him again next season.

We should be buying players with big upside potential. Like Kanga, Bristric etc.

McCarthy, Cullen, Burns and potentially Dobson are going to leave us same position in year or two.

There’s a lot to take into account over the coming days, we simply can’t go out and sign another Kangasniemi or Bristric from an obscure league unless they meet certain requirements.

I guess it’s why you see every League 1 club mainly focus on buying homegrown, if they don’t make use of their two ESC squad spots, then you’re left fishing in only a small amount of leagues, the Eredivisie being a prime example as seen with Huddersfield signing a couple of players from that league.

We need a minimum of three players by the end of the window, strengthening our spine is a must.

But if we’re not willing to venture out to those small amount of leagues, then we’ll be relying on homegrown, and realistically this late in the window, you’re left looking at players that Championship clubs don’t want.

For instance we need another number 6, but if we aren’t willing to pluck someone from Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands or the US, then you’re left looking at players like Matty James and George Dobson.

Should be all over the Belgian league considering we own a club and our sporting directors done a few years out there but oh no.

Not making use of the Belgian league is one of life’s greatest mysteries Ric, bit like Russell pulling Pinder.

Should have took Banzuzi and Keita from OH Leuven if we wasn’t in League one I’d be all over Nyakossi aswell

That's alway been odd.

Why own two clubs and don't use the link.

Hopefully improves when we have a new owner.

Scary that he would be better than anything we’ve got up there at the moment

Exactly nobody with any brain cells is buying skipp.. or hamza for that matter.

It actually makes me giggle to think there is genuine intrest in hamza, with his prem wages. I cant see him wanting to take a big cut. And i think this is why its taking do long.

Could’ve signed Keita from Antwerp the same summer we signed Skipp for half the price

Hahaha he was the one that reports suggest rudkin lost out to himself. We would never have since him anyway. Zero prem experience 😂😂

Don't think I'm exaggerating that our entire season depends on signing another striker; I expect Martin to be fired fairly early in the season and we will need more than just Bristvic in any new system. Regardless, even if Martin turns it round, we will need more firepower; get a decent, proven striker in and I think we will do OK in the end.
