No way the club leave this and let things slide. If your house is up for sale and you’ve got a leak in the roof you don’t leave it, you fix it, otherwise the buyer have leverage to reduce the price. If Leicester let things drift and they are sitting in 18th place in 5 games, 15 points off the automatic places losing the amount of money on a weekly basis that they are, any potential buyer has leverage as they are unlikely to get promotion. Also, sack him after 10 games and they won’t be paying him off for 3 years, he won’t have a contract so weighted in his favour. To get 3 years pay he’ll need to be there at least 6 months, exactly why they could get rid of cooper so quickly.

Interesting fact Martin had previously turned the Foxes down twice, last summer and most likely to replace Cifuentes and both times didn't fancy the job. Which makes you think does he even think he's good fit for this job. He's arrogant manager and I think in his mind he's too big for Leicester and league one. Took this job as he was offered a contract that was stupid amount of money for league one.

I thought that if a manager got sacked his contract got paid up regardless of when the axe fell.  Are you saying this is wrong?

There was no clear style of play under Cooper, Ruud, Marti or Rowett. I couldn't tell you whether we were possession, counter attack or what our philosophy was.

It is clear with Martin that we are a possession based team. Whether that is how we should play is up for debate but it is clear what we are trying to do.

Rowett was a fire fighter, I didn’t include him.

Marti was absolutely trying to instil possession football, he was just really bad at it. It was still low tempo nonsense. He convinced the board that he could do it.

No one knows his contract but I cannot believe that with the history around this club they award a contact that does not allow immediate dismissal especially based on his recent history and reputation.

- Fans still turn up to support this gabage and the sooner people turn their back and acknowledge Leicester are finished as a professional football club the better so it hits home ?

They are Shit yes.But we will eventually have new owners and better times ahead.

Leicester city with all our history are at an all time low.But we are far from finished.

My view is Martin does have different strategies during games

Plan A Pass as many times as possible. The opposition can make this difficult if they start pressing. RM may think we should be able to pass from goalkeeper to a player a few yards away but as this may not always work we do have

Plan B Start shouting at players they are not following his instructions The team thought were, RM will tell us there is learning to do

Still there is

Plan C Make substitutions. These must be on a like for like basis. This means he can restart

Yes, you have guessed - it is Plan A again.

There can be some frantic discussions with others on the bench which demonstrates the tactical genius of RM because they have a job to do just that

Of course there is the post match interview when it can be explained there is learning to do. And for a very bad result it's the young players who can be blamed It's unclear why,  but the most important message is that RM decisions went always the correct ones. RM knows he is right.

It is true that sometimes RM gets sacked but this is the board's mistake because he knows he needs more time to demonstrate Plans AB and C are works of the great insight he has.

Kind of crazy people expected him to be sacked. Not because he shouldn't be (lose 4-0 at home in any league is a red flag, let alone at this level) but more because other managers have survived worse and he's KP's golden child

The last 3 years suggest that the ownership don't place any value on acting quickly, even when it's massively to their own detriment to delay big decisions.

I am bewildered at how your board could look at those games and see how easy we were to play and score against, and think “yep that’s the man to take us forward”

The saddest part is literally none of us are surprised one bit. You cant underestimate how incompetent Rudkin and Top are

Believe it.

It will be much easier to digest in the long run.

From my perspective as a saints fan, what’s even more astonishing from a Leicester point of view, is that some of our worst performances under him (and there were many) came against yourselves. The 1-4 and 5-0 games the season we both went up have to be among the most embarrassing disjointed performances we served up under him. We were literally wide open the entire 90 minutes in both games. I am bewildered at how your board could look at those games and see how easy we were to play and score against, and think “yep that’s the man to take us forward”

You literally saw first hand how bad he was. I am not trying to rub it in, far from it. Our board are just as clueless as yours and we are going nowhere under them, it’s a slow decline for us: we get steadily worse every season.

I'm happy that someone is still surprised.

We have the worst owners and management in the entire country.

I fully expect the worst appointments and the worst decision making at every single turn.

Great post. It’s beyond belief that we employed him, nobody but our management wanted him here. I just cannot believe how inept we are, time after time making ridiculous decisions, it seems like self sabotage. I just cannot even begin to comprehend the thought process of giving him the job.

Agreed!

The only explanation for such a terrible appointment is got to be self sabotage.

Facebook is full of Rangers and Southampton supporters saying “we told you so” or “we warned you” but we ALL knew how useless he is, literally everyone knew and yet we still employed him, it’s baffling, it’s beyond comprehension, it’s unexplainable.

The Martin nonsense when he first came in about how he doesn't refer to philosophy any more, the latest theory is game model, was rather nausea inducing.

Yes, before he was even officially announced because anyone with an ounce of sense knew it was a sh!t idea.

Its worrying, the survival of this football club could literally depend on us getting promoted.

Yet here we are, fully willing to burn these points.
