Scott, lacroix, olise, eze, Bowen were all linked and hugely realistic at the time. We could all pretty much see they were all sensible, cheap(ish) transfers.

Thats mental! Think over the years there have been some suspicious transfers between Brighton and Chelsea (including Potter!), but this one takes the pi55.

I think Alonso is bright enough to know you need some senior figures in a dressing room, they have a very young squad.

Other way around for me. I get the Welbeck one, Henderson isn’t up to standard on the pitch anymore for Chelsea. They still need to be able to come in to the side and do a job.

 

I could easily see Welbeck getting a good chunk of minutes and scoring some important goals off the bench, Henderson will just be in his England role this summer again.

I do think Chelsea is a very different dressing room to ours though, and it does make sense for them.

Tolaj has looked a proper player in pre season tbf.

 

Lots of optimism down these parts for this season, after the summer signings and the manager appointment.

 

Tbf though it's not the first time, before inevitable disappointment and a mid table finish!
