For whatever reason, whether it’s his ego or personal issues, he is a very unhappy footballer and inevitably will be a really hard sell. I don’t understand what these managers have seen in training to have continued to persist with Mavididi over these last few years, he looks totally disconnected every time he steps out onto the pitch. I take the “interest” in him with a pinch of salt, I think Martin has sussed him out as someone that isn’t committed, why it’s taken this long for him to notice I don’t know, but it seems Northampton was finally the last straw.
