Hope you're right. So has anyone had sight of the real Expression of Interest prospectus and detailed Bid documents?

Hopefully a few serious bidders have, outside of that unlikely…unless someone’s been naughty with an NDA

Aren't they public documents in some capacity? Must confess I'm unclear of legal status of LCFC as part of KP group.

Pages of questions and a shortage of answers?

The data room won’t even be open yet, worked in plenty of processes and can’t ever remember answering questions at this stage so this is likely BS.

Did you read the prospectus it was only about fixed assets. Only since has limited data on debt loading etc been shared. This is necessary for even a preliminary expression of interest.

I doubt there will be any interest. We’re a turkey waiting for Christmas. Most of us here can see it. Real businessmen will see it. Top thinks he’s going to get £140 million. It’s painful.

Heard a rumour at the weekend that this is a done deal with the Scottish/Indian business man Neil Lal. Like I say it's just a rumour but hopefully if it's true we will be soon be rid of King power and Russell Martin !

At least his name will be easier to spell.

Though when everything goes even further to shit he'll be known as Neil LOL

I don’t think what was circling about on the net was real, if so I’d be pretty worried as looks like they have one of their interns on the job. If it was genuine then it might have only been an extract.

What happened if we go beyond the 14th….. and there’s no sale? You’d think if they set a deadline there must be potential buyers….. if not, then **** me, what happens then?

It’s a good question and only those who set the deadline know. It is not unusual to see where the landscape is in relation to Tops ambitions and others assessment of valuation. If he really wants to sell the process continues. If he was only flying a kite he continues. If comments on cash flow and potential shortfall might drive a fire sale.

Deadline would have been set at the start, there won’t be a “sale” on the 14th this will just be round one.

If there’s nothing then citi will have to round up with everyone that expressed an interest but didn’t bid - and any bidders will realise quickly this isn’t a competitive process and there’s potential to get it at a cut price deal.

Most would then take it off the market and relaunch at a different time, doesn’t look like we have that luxury so there will have to be some kind of deal done with somebody at this point.

Makes sense.

As it goes I’ve spoken to my mate about this, he has finger on the pulse but naturally doesn’t know exactly what’s happening, but he seems to think Lall is potentially leading a consortium from the Middle East, potentially a Abu Dhabi based consortium. There’s been snippets of information such as property developer and sports investors…. Which makes me think this is the likely scenario. Through his connections Lall has potentially with the City group has sought a consortium from Abu Dhabi, for which he will lead in the acquisition of the club. A bit like Amanda Stavely with the Saudi’s and Newcastle?

Just an educated guess building on my early theory.

Isn't that the guy who is a bullshit artist and has no money?

Would be a good fit for us...

Could an Amanda Staveley Saudi led investment group be part of it, as I thought their West Ham bid had failed?

Easy now. That's a two time winner of 'Man of the Decade 2025' so put a little respect on his name please.

Potentially, but would this be a low bar for her? I did hear a rumour when we were in the PL that she attended a couple of games, which if true is a bit odd considering she has no affiliation with the club or king power?

An Amanda Staveley consortium would have money as no object, plus we have the ‘fairytale’ of the PL win.

Yeah we’re lower than West Ham, but it would be an interesting project for them I imagine.

Sounds like they are just trying to build up interest in the sale

It appears that way doesn’t it?

No interested party would feel the need to be public right now. No party knows the actual financial details to make a sensible offer
