I thought he did okay today. Utter nonsense that Martin was spouting about taking him off and looking tired and short of match fitness. I’d have been fuming if I was him as Howell and Watson then started putting the ball into the box and with a tiring back line getting deeper he could have nicked a half chance. Unlike Reid who is lame!

His season was a month old when he joined us, he has made 4 appearances in competitive competitions, just pure waffle from Martin

No he didn’t.

Yes it was.

I was expecting him to at least be able to link the play a bit and work hard. He didn’t really do either.

I wasn’t being overly critical anyway, just discussing his performance - Hopefully he’ll come good with a bit of time.

He definitely did get a touch on it.

Good to see you giving him a chance

Some of its basic football, he didn’t show anything today to suggest he’s much good. Normally you see a glimpse of quality but nothing of note. His first touch was genuinely awful. We’d have been better signing a proper league 1 clogger with experience, instead we bring in young players and send our own young player on loan, clubs ethos is weird.

He was miles better than BDR. So many runs off the ball that weren't delivered to him and he's got an assist. BDR came on to play centre forward and he basically never went near the penalty spot, which is unforgivable when you're chasing a game. Wanted to touch the ball out wide and deep

He wasn’t miles better and he didn’t get an assist! lol

I’m all for bashing BDR, as he is clearly awful, but he at least pressed the ball and linked the play a few times.

I actually just watched the replay a few times again and he definitely got a touch on it

Some good, some pants.

Decent movement at times not spotted

Looks like he would suit a ball over the top or into the channel so naturally he has to wait for our centre backs to sit on the ball for an age before playing awkward passes to feet.

Abysmal for the first 30 ish. Waiting for the ball too often, feigning injury too often. Got better, though. Might do ok but will find Martin football very difficult I think.

Fair enough, debut assist then.

I’ll let Opta know.

in fairness there’s debate as to how influential the touch was.. like  wether a deflection counts towards an own goal or not.. the touch was intentional but was it influential..

Well he did get an assist (whether he deserved it or not). If you're going to argue with facts, it's time to step away

Howell looked spent after 10 mins 😂

Well he hasn’t been credited with an assist so I have no idea where you get your ‘facts’ from! lol

It was odd that we started pumping the ball into the box as soon as he went off. He must have watched it thinking why didn't he get that service.

Alves, Bristric and Howell as a front 3 combo I'd happily watch.

It’s happened most games. The only time we did it Saturday when he was on the pitch, we scored.
