Notts County was the main game at 1230. This is via the red button. 
 

Liverpool v Forest & Middlesbrough v WBA on at the same time. So unless a multi screen pub or a pub in Leicester, chances are significantly reduced

Makes sense, cheers mate! I suspect the pub will be pretty quiet and not exactly full of football fans, being in Norfolk. I’ll ask the question anyway, and worst case I’ll find a stream on my phone!

I'm not sure what gives you the impression that there'll be more games this season that we don't score in than we get clean sheets on the balance of limited evidence so far? We've played 10 games including pre-season, 4 competitive* games and we've only failed to score in 1 of those games. We've only kept 4 clean sheets in 10 of those games. If you want to go about it purely in the competitive* games, we've yet to not score and we've only kept 1 clean sheet.

Quite simply because I think we will be prone to making more catastrophic mistakes more often than we will in creating sufficient goal scoring chances. More probability we concede in a game where we don't end up scoring than vice versa.

Chaplin gave him an earful at one point after he’d made a mistake and let the ball run past him, hopefully at that point Howell told him to fcuk off and sort his own game out!

This game will show whether Martin is learning anything about his squad - and whether he’s actually willing to compromise his tactics to solve problems and get the best out of players.

 

Every game so far he has structured the central midfield in a 1-2; one holding, two advanced, or a pair of 8’s if you will.

 

However; what’s been quite apparent for all of the games so far is that approach has left us too vulnerable on transition; it’s costing us goals.

 

Add in that Chaplin is quite clearly a quality player, you want to get him in your side in his best position and with the space to create - so you want him as the classic number.

That means a switch to a 2-1 midfield; two holding (at least initially), one advanced; feels like a necessity this weekend - especially given you can imagine Braybrooke and Page could work really well as a pair in those slots. There really is no reason for Martin not to do this.

 

But will he do this? Will he make a switch to his desired shape? 
 

My hunch is no 😏 - i guess we’ll know for sure shortly after 12:30 on Saturday.

Putting an outfield player in goal has got to be worth a try. Personally I’d go with Decordova Reid to keep him away from the other end of the pitch.

Yes we have but I still stand by my points already raised. I will either be proven right or wrong in time. There's plenty of evidence already supporting that we are giving up more dangerous chances than we are creating ourselves. Won't always equate in to clean sheets vs firing blanks but it's where i'm going with this.

He was also stood around a not pressing with other players at times, and Chaplin had a go at him. 
 

Im quite happy to have a player like Chaplin, actually demanding more from people around him. That has been sorely missing.

We will definitely have to out score teams to win games this season. It’s reflected in Martins teams managed managerial statistics, currently standing at GF  391 and GA 391.
