Souttar was shit yesterday. Why wouldn’t you want to try the new lad from the outset?

One of our better players Saturday, looked far more comfortable on the right of a two.

Laid on Bobby’s chance, showed he does have a range of pass, had a goal bound header blocked by Bobby.

That I grant you.

I would think if we don't see the Plymouth match as the benchmark then we can't go beyond the Stockport match for real signs of improvement with at least 7 points from the 3 league games with goals and a solid defence.

Sorry to say this but I feel this is a MUST WIN for everyone including the fans. Can’t face slipping further behind the pacesetters in this League to end all Football Leagues.

Absolute pisstake that there’s games on deadline day

That's what you get for being in League One, mind you it happened to us in the Premier League - we got Molla Wague that day lol

I’m astonished this has got 4 likes tbh.

Chucking Dobson straight in and moving Page from the position he’s excelled at?

Continuing with LT now the new boy will be more ready and Aluko available?

Page isn't a defensive midfielder.

Aluko for Thomas, good call.

Well, we’re in the relegation zone now so I’d say this was a must win too.

No we're not.  We're flying high in 20th.

Don't get vertigo.

Actually your right.  21st.  Good times.

I am saying this while wearing a tin hat and hiding behind the sofa but...

If we haven't signed any more defenders by Tuesday I don't think you can drop Thomas who has played well for two games in a row at CB.

The Finnish lad has only played like 14 games in his whole career and that's been in a doggo league.  I don't think he'll be starting yet.

I'd drop Burns for Howell, Watson for Alves and Chaplin will probably be out so put whichever is the lesser of two evils there out of BDCR and Cullen.

This without Reid.  At least the invisible man won’t pass backwards/not control it after Sammy and Page have worked hard getting up the pitch.

These wingers and full backs are going to be key as they are direct and want to make things happen.

I didn’t think he was either but the last two games Page has excelled at playing 6 in a possession hungry system.

Did you watch the last two games?

Chaplin and Ried are the only 10s we have though ? I thought he was better as a 10 than a forward don't think he was that sloppy when he went into the 10 obviously if Chaplin is fit he starts over Ried

Wouldn't mind seeing Aluko playing in CM with Page playing higher up.

JJ   Souttar   New Guy   McFarlane

              Aluko      Sammy

Howell           Page           Alves

                       Bristic

Not sure how much of a sick note Chaplin will be this season but Reid isn't the answer for anything.  He's just another of Cooper's turds that we haven't been able to flush.  He has had a handful of big chances when struggle to create and he every game creates a new low.  Slipping on a banana skin when taking a shot a few yards out, blocking shots, that attempt at a lob.  If Thomas is getting shoehorned at CB out of necessity, JJ or Watson in that position would be better than anyone from the KP donkey sanctuary.

Surprised you are still talking about ‘being up with the pacesetters’. It has become obvious already that this is going to be a grim battle against relegation.

I just think it'd be unfair to drop Thomas at CB, he's played rather well in that position.

And our back four does need protection. A 4-1-4-1 would allow Page and Braybrooke to flourish.

We're not going to play with a front two, anyway. We only have one proper striker.
