In sure Hamza wrote every word and it definitely wasn't his agent and chat gpt.

I would like to think chat gpt's grammar is better than that.

Insane how much money he’s had off us over the years.

Didnt realise that’s all he’s played. 21 years and barely any positive moments of note, crazy.

166 appearances for us in just under 9 years since his debut

Other than West Brom for his goal line clearances and the Liverpool 1-0 with the makeshift defence - does he have any other really standout appearances?

The leg breaking tackle on Matt Richie against Newcastle 🥸

There are some miserable ****s on here. Hamza has never been a good footballer but he’s always given his all for the shirt and he was the only one who fronted up to fans at the end of last season. I’m more than happy that he’s gone but I don’t begrudge him like some on here.

Jeez the amount of negativity for supposedly "one of our own"!?

Yes, he wasn't always great for us. What you can't deny is that he did love this club and tried to give his all. The guy is young and yes made some mistakes outside of football, but the amount of "holier than thou" on here is astonishing. You honestly think other footballers playing for Leicester didn't do some of the stuff he did? He was just stupid enough to get caught. The amount of crazy comments about him playing for bangledesh and the bangledeshi fans is also just astounding. Ffs just shows some people's true colours on here. Yes be glad he's gone because he wasn't upto scratch, but don't all get on your high horse. Seriously!

I hope not. Failure at so many levels.

Most of the time your posts are fairly reasonable. These make you sound like an obnoxious redneck

Just saw the official announcement post on Facebook from Sheffield United and it’s absolutely rammed full of posts from people from Bangladesh..

Made some mistakes in life (haven't we all) and paid for them and hopefully will learn.

Not the most gifted player but put a shift in and loved the club.

If you were him and offered a new contract on prem wages you would've taken it too so let's not blame him for that.

Top and Rudkin are behind the contracts and pay rises for players that should've been shown the door (Vesty, Thomas)

Wish him well for the future at Sheff Utd.

He was actually gifted thats the thing, some of the clubs linked with him when he was a youth prospect were insane.

Don’t think hes as arrogant as people on here are making out but he was a big part of a culture that prioritised their social lives before their careers. Hopefully with him gone now we can reset that culture at the club a little.

I honestly think people seem to be conflating us celebrating Hamza's annoying fanclub now being Sheffield's problem with some sort of actual hatred of Bangladesh the country and people. That's not the case at all, but it will be nice being able to comment on the shite the club post without all the noise - something that's been the case in one way or another for a decade, but arguably never as bad as it is with the latest bunch.

We've had a few daft online fanclubs over the years - i still remember Mahrez' sycophants spamming this emoji and telling us we were going to 'win the hair' without him every game. Whether that was a mistranslation or an inside joke I'll never fully know.

They were incredibly annoying but at least the player was world class to back it up. Daka's fanclub was similar, demanding he play ahead of Vardy, but they eventually cottoned on to how crap he was. I liked those guys, they had self-awareness. lol Hamza's gang? Well, you have to work with what you've got I guess.

There's one other Bangladeshi player I know of, Shamit Shome who is a bit part player for Cavalry in the Canadian Prem. Their socials get the same treatment, for a squad player in a league that is semi pro standard, League Two at best - and he can't even break through at that level, but you'd think he was Desi Drogba the way they go on about him. I think that gives a little context as to why Hamza is so loved - he's literally, and by a wide margin, the best player of Bangladeshi heritage to ever play the game. Which is a sad thought for a country that size, but explains why he's such a big deal to fans.

I digress. Like I said, he and his fans are Sheffield United's problem now.
