Good player and is what the midfield needed, but he was absolutely dead by 70 minutes.

Not having a proper central midfielder on the bench cost us today; it’s a lot to ask him, Page and Braybrooke to do full 90’s week in week out with the sort of movement and press we’re looking for.

Ideally you’d want to change two out of the three, but we don’t have any natural options to freshen it up.

And Martin's response was to swap all the other central midfielders for wingers, and leave Lundstrum to cover the whole middle of the pitch :D

Good to finally have a leader. He's just what we need. Shame he can't play football that well, but the effort is there which is refreshing.

Looks off the pace, unable to play on the half turn and apparently has the passing ability of Okoli. Been very underwhelmed with him. 2 years and it looks suspiciously like his legs have gone.

This bloke is a lower league Conor Coady. Can see him desperately attempting to be a ‘leader’ on the pitch but doesn’t have the footballing or intellectual skills to do so. Another dud.

Any reason he doesn't track back for their second? Apart from being knackered or can't be bothered? Surely tactics shouldnt tell you to watch a free player run into space in a 2v2 situation...

Worrying that he was the captain today.

Ideally we would put him on the bench for a while but he's clearly been given a senior role in the squad.

Another player brought in by Martin alongside McCarthy, Ohora, Cullen that is not comfortable playing possession football. You would think that with Martin's obsession with the style that he would prioritise ability in possession above all else when it comes to players.

Lundstram's also not mobile enough to cover the defence playing this way either.

It's almost like Martin's strategy is not to make his style work but to show how inflexible he is by forcing the style on players who are incapable of doing so.

Maybe he's not 100%, certainly looked much better in the previous game. But there were lots who looked like they couldn't be bothered, with half-hearted challenges.

Because he’s crap.

He’s poor just as I expected, but yet another signing the same people were pleased about because of “experience”.

Was impressed with him against Stockport & Barnsle, appeared to be everything we needed, but he was terrible today. Seemed to lack any discipline positionally which left the whole midfield exposed and non existent / gave the ball away at every opportunity.

Hopefully a bad day at the office!

He looks shit. They all look shit, but that could just be because we’ve got the worst manager in world football. I’m reserving real judgement until we get an actual manager.
