I don't know if that's necessarily the case. Lundstram hit his peak under Wilder at Sheffield Utd, Burns performed well at Ipswich playing a more direct attacking style according to their fans who've popped up here, O'Hora has been described as a solid defender rather than a pass out from the back merchant and the striker we signed is a big lad who might get on the end of a cross every now and then. Even with the academy kids, look how Jake Evans is flourishing under Steve Cotterill. I don't think the squads a lost cause if we get a proper manager in.

Nothing changes until the ownership goes. 
So inevitably it’ll be another former Southampton manager seeing as we’re incapable of looking anywhere else. 

Hassenhutl - readily available but no chance he’ll come here and should have got him last summer. 

 

Selles - could happen but definitely don’t want him. 
 

Still - currently at Auxerre but have lost 3 on the trot so could happen if they get rid. Same as Selles don’t want him. 
 

Pearson - 100% have him back but won’t happen with these clowns in charge. 

Outside of this Southampton obsession the obvious choice would be Challinor but our arrogance wouldn’t allow us to consider him and wrongly we’d believe we can do better than him.

Couldn’t agree more, all of the players signed will have played in different styles, formations and for managers with a different perspective on how the game should be played.
 

Even our academy players such as Alves, Braybrooke, JJ etc have had loan spells away from the club where they have played differing roles, positions and styles of play. 
 

The issue isn’t necessarily the possession based style it’s the slow, laborious build up that’s the issue. Increase the intensity and look to play with more purpose when in possession and you would see a marked improvement  without asking anyone to do anything they aren’t already doing. We are overplaying in dangerous areas which is our downfall defensively and then our attacking play is too slow, so mix it up more at the back removing the high risk and ask the players to play at a higher tempo with the ball and it is very different outcome.

We've all been bored to death watching us play over the last four or so seasons. There's only one man who could get us on the edge of our seats and make watching Leicester an entertaining and exciting thing to do again.

i think most of the forum agree on that, which says a lot tbh as we aren’t exactly an agreeable lot.

 

im so done with this sh*t.

over the last 4 years i have gradually just withdrawn from the club and football altogether.

 

its so weird, ive never been like this before.

last season I stopped watching match of the day, this summer I wasn’t even excited about the World Cup and didn’t watch much of it.

last season I missed more home games than I’ve missed since I moved back to Leicester in 2017.

 

apologies for waffling, I just thought I’d share this as I think there are probably many like me.

 

poor management at the top has ruined football for me.

Fair point, does highlight the need to move Martin on quickly, before his system becomes too entrenched and the players forget other ways of playing the game - Winks having cleared off should help too I should hope.

Can’t it? It definitely can. 
Never underestimate the uselessness of Top and Rudkin. 
I’m sure the majority on here myself included said the same thing with Cooper, RVN, Cifuentes and Rowett.

Absolutely correct. Rowett had enough time and enough quality in the squad to do something, and he didn't.

Neither do anything differently. 
Look at yesterday when we were 3 nil down and he had the opportunity to bring Bristic on and play 2 up front. 
No he decided to take Riis off and continue with the system that hasn’t worked all match. 
Exactly what Rowett persisted with last season. 
At least try a different formation during a game when it’s clearly not working.
