I think it makes sense as it could allow Alves to drift, McFarlane to stay wide, JJ can do whatever he pleases, and one of the deeper midfielders to bomb forward, with their still being cover in the back. Even if it was Cullen/BDCR for Doyle, they end up playing as a second striker pulling the defence apart for the late run. Whichever CB we fancy most with the ball can step into midfield, and we’re not left short on a counter attack. 1

Kangasniemi in this system could be lethal as he would step forward and take the ball like a midfielder. 2

He will definitely drop Page as i reckon he feels Braybrook has more experience, and think we will likely see little of Page for the next few games. 1
Dan Posted 7 September Posted 7 September It reeks of a fluke draw. A result that our rapid decline now deems as "steady" but ultimately was just a fluke like Plymouth and Notts County. That the reduced expectations mean this is deemed acceptable. We need Stockport to hammer us. Lowers the chance of relegation in the long run if they are humiliated into sacking him.

Not that the next manager will be any good saying that The next manager will probably be Conor Hourihane til the end of the season, so you could factor that into whether you want Martin gone.

Enzo didn’t want him anywhere near the club and he is the last manager that isn’t a yes man. Everyone else has played him no matter how bad he has been. I think Thomas will play and Martin will keep the same walking football to the halfway line and try bounce passes in a congested middle. A lot depends on how much the players listen to the manager and stick to his ideas. Watching Luke Thomas is 2026 as the main cb, controlling the tempo and starting the attacks is sickening. 1

The mullet of Phil Gee Posted 7 September Posted 7 September I really fear for us in this one. On current form, my prediction is 6-0 to County. Dave Challinor is not there anymore, but many of his players still are, and Jim McNulty has got them playing well again. For me, they are arguably the best team in League one. They have the know how, physicality, resilience and ruthlessness to give us a really painful afternoon. Norwood, Wootton, Diamond, Wood and Pye are all very good at this level. Thankfully Sidebeh will be missing through injury. I just fear they will overpower us in every area of the pitch. Hoping I'm wrong.
