If Luke Thomas is at CB on the halfway line playing the Enzo ball then it is going to be a long afternoon. We need the players to have some sort of pride in themselves if not for the club and fans, heart and footballing intellect. Press until they reach the player, try to force them to make a mistake like they do to us. Try to put crosses in quickly rather than overplaying and hesitating then taking the cowards pass backwards. Nothing will change because a statistical failure can’t change.

It’s 2026 and we are watching Luke Thomas, a player who can’t pass to his left, play CB and the main focal point for precision Enzo ball passing. Then also jealous of Oxford who could pass it around the back quickly, avoid getting the keeper involved and ping it to a winger to break at speed with ease.

He's not a a Maddison type player who likes to receive it on the half turn. Going with a back 3 while we play this style would result in even more painful viewing as far as i can see. Also were absolutely stacked with attacking mids and wide forwards. 1
