Katy Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Yeah we ain’t getting anything out of this. Stockport are everything we should be in this league right now. I’m going for at least two goals against us caused by defensive twattery forced upon us by the manager. 1
RedSoxUK Posted 6 September Posted 6 September McCarthy Joseph - Souttar - O'Hara - Thomas Page Lundstram - BDR Burns - Riis - Alves I think it'll be something like that. 1 1
Blueman1967 Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Does not bode well after yesterday, and 4-0 away win for them
Simonb Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Cant see anything positive coming from this game. Im hoping Lundstrum is fit and ready to bring some physicality into midfield. Id drop Souttar, been useless, and I'll get panned for saying this, but Id play Faes. Not a fan, dont like him, but hes still here and he is our best cb at the moment .. we have to do something drastic Mccarthy JJ Faes Ohora McFarlane/Thomas Lundstrum Page Braybrooke Alves Howell Riis Wouldn't be against Doyle starting either as he looks capable of carrying the ball, just not sure in place of who 2

I can also see similar, probably Chaplin for BDR and Braybrooke for Page. One thing is hes been so vocal about the lack of experience being the reason for yesterday, lock in the older players. 1
filbertway Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Will depend if the show us too much respect or not. Few teams have shown if you're brave then youve got a very good chance. We can be got at and were fairly easy to keep at bay. If they let us have the ball and dont press and counter with pace then we will be alright. Feels similar to last season. Any result feels equally likely pre match and a lot will depend on the opposition as we're obviously very predictable in what we will be.
RedSoxUK Posted 6 September Posted 6 September 6 minutes ago, jv1 said: Thomas and Bobby after yesterday- Jesus 🤦♂️ Yeah because of Martin's comments. The LT at CB experiment is now dead, expect O'Hora because the Finn is... Youth, inexperienced, and nothing to suggest he'll be any good. Souttar isn't getting dropped. BDR because I expect he'll be thinking about the mix of attackers at any one time now. Could be any combination quite frankly but I don't think he rushes to start Doyle and I doubt Chaplin is fit.

We need to be quicker and sharper... one thing we have shown is at times our link up in attack can rip teams apart.. its league one as well.. just be more direct. Yesterday was an absolute embarrassment 1
lgfualol Posted 6 September Posted 6 September He’s so arrogant he will probably start the same side to try and prove his team selections aren’t the problem. I bet he goes: McCarthy Joseph Souttar OHara Thomas Lundstrum Page Burns BDR Watson Riis
sdb Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Annoyed I have to wait 6 days to think about this manager getting paid by us. A Tuesday night embarrassment and a new nail in the coffin would be preferable.
Sunbury Fox Posted 6 September Posted 6 September He's clearly going to double down on experience so expect something horrific like the following from him, fitness permitting: McCarthy JJ Souttar O'Hora Thomas Lundstram Chaplin Burns Cullen Reid Riis
Dan Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Fluke draw. Weird thing I've noticed is the meltdowns seem to come where you don't expect them as much.
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 6 September Posted 6 September (edited) McCarthy Souttar O'Hora Kanga Joseph Doyle Lundstrum Sammy McF Page Riis Damage limitations against Stockport... FFS Edited 6 September by LeePhilpottsBaldSpot 1

Not a hope sadly.Think he will still be here until about 15 games before our clowns realise he is a total fraud. sick of listening to his nonsensical waffle. Blaming the inexperience yesterday was just more bollox and if he really thought that , he should be asked why 2 of his first 3 substitutes replaced very experienced players with more kids and why his love child Cullen was left out the squad in favour of another young lad who most of us probably hadn’t heard of until this week. He just spouts garbage. 1

Lesta Legend Posted 6 September Posted 6 September People still putting Reid, Cullen and Thomas in FFS. Slow turgid ineffectual weaklings. I get it, some are guessing what the smug one will do which is why we’ll get spanked by Stockport.
LFC bear Posted 6 September Posted 6 September Rangers fan here. The fun with EL Veggie is just starting. And J Lundstrum won't save this shit show I'm afraid. He's OK but at this point of his career I don't see him carrying a struggling League 1 Leicester who only 4 x years ago played Roma in a European semi. This will end a high score home win for the hosts. 1 1

McCarthy Joseph - Souttar - O’Hora - McFarlane Lundstram Howell - Braybrooke - Page - Alves Riis Ravizzoli / Aluko / Kangasniemi / Doyle / Chaplin / Watson / Bristrić This line up but with the tactics of the Portsmouth game. Howell and Alves running at defenders from the start. If Lundstram gets the ball quickly and can actually turn without playing it backwards then we have a chance to make things happen quickly. If Page and Sammy get the ball in the middle of a block after 20 passes then it will be a long afternoon. I'm expecting Reid, Burns and even worse, Thomas in control of the tempo and passing from the halfway line.

Just to be clear, my horrible predicted XI a few posts above is based on what I fear RM will do, rather than the XI who I think we should play.
