Seems like every time I praise Souttar for a decent performance he follows up with a slow paced, CBA disaster. Needs to be dropped.

I think JJ right wing and Aluko at right back could really work against better sides. Both good players, but JJ isn’t defensively excellent in my opinion. 
 

LT at left back cause frankly, McFarlane had an absolute shocker against Oxford and I cannot see him starting, although I don’t think in general he’s our best option

Think my last Souttar hope is that he hasn’t actually played next to an actual centre back that breathes through their nose, maybe O’Hora leading and letting him do the simple things may help

Your reasoning for not playing JJ at RB is that he’s not defensively excellent yet you wanna put LT back at LB despite Macfarlane being quite obviously superior to him.

Stockport players have been given this week off and have been asked to turn up on Saturday at 3.00pm for a light training session lasting a couple of hours

Macfarlane did have a bad game Saturday but twato wants his fullbacks pushed up and inverted so they are liable to the ball over the top it happened regularly to Riccy last year. He is far superior in forward play and 1 x1’s than Thomas.

I've noticed that he also seems to be able to block crosses at source quite frequently. Something that Thomas seems unable to do, which frustrates the hell out of me.

Not sure whether he's going to go ultra experienced or look to bring experience on in the latter stages, either way they massively need to buck their ideas up otherwise Martin is about to have nowhere left to turn to in his excuses already.

 

We have far too many defenders and it will not surprise me to see at least 3-4 of them not even in the matchday squad and invariably think Kangasniemi and Aluko will soon miss out regularly. It's unthinkable that we could still have Faes, Okoli and Coulibaly along with McFarlane, Thomas, Aluko, Joseph, Souttar, O'Hora and Kangasniemi. 

 

The midfield we very poor last weekend bar Alves. Wes Burns was an utter disgrace and yet he'll be viewed by Martin as one of the dependables, I really hope he's just massively rusty as he looks shot. 

 

Almost pointless me saying it but i'd go 3-4-2-1 but we don't do that here. Martin has played 3 at the back many times and 2 strikers many times but he already seems wedded to the system every manager has played here the majority of the time since Puel.
