Toxic Fans Going to Games - Stay at Home

Sometimes in life, you have to stand up and be counted, make a stance for what you love….. 

 

It works both ways, but look at the clubs who’s fans stood up to their regimes, and took control of their clubs destiny….. Sheffield Wednesday and Cov are two example, Wednesday who are now under new ownership, and Cov who are now in the premier league….

 

Sitting on your hands in times of adversity doesn’t make you a martyr….. it doesn’t make you any better a “fan” either, sometimes to fix something, uncomfortable actions may be necessary…… if the main reason KP are selling up (aside from not being able to afford to run the club) is because they feel the fanbase has turned on them, then good…. We’ve done our job. 
 

Jacking in seasons tickets, booing, and admitting you current dislike for the current iteration of Leicester City isn’t something to be ashamed of….. I can understand people going for their kids, but, I’ve stopped going after 29 years because I’d rather starve KP of my support and money, to stand a chance of having a future for this football club.

the thing about rumours of there being a rumour is it usually supports the view of the person claiming there’s a rumour.

 

It’s a whole new level of confirmation bias when you start believing things that no one has said.

Was in the stands yesterday for my first away game in a while, the people behind me blaring out “Leicester are going down with Russell Martin” every five minutes, or the “we lost last week, we lost today” chant, and Reid, Thomas, Watson and Burns getting abuse every time they touched the ball.

Went to Barnsley away with a mate who hasn’t seen us live since 2023. Played football at a high youth level so always good to watch games with him as he reads the game so well. 
He clapped the players off and was bemused at the chants at the end, the football was not sh1t at all, it was v entertaining, just no end product.

I explained that watching the team lose for two years straight grinds those who have been going week in week out down to shreds. Of course they’re gonna boo and be abusive. Yes the football was good but we’ve just drawn 1-1 to 10 man Barnsley

Something Piper said last night on the RL show was how the Barnsley players were dead on their feet and slumped to the ground at full time. 
 

I can’t remember a single time in the last 5 years or so where we’ve seen that from a Leicester team?  Generally they just amble over to pay lip service to fans and walk off like they’ve been for a Sunday stroll. 
anyone recall a time our team has run themselves into the ground?

Christ have a bit of pride will you. You're being laughed at by everyone working for LCFC. Let them know it's not good enough. 

 

I was at Barnsley and backed them throughout, but I let my feelings known at the end. Loving/ supporting the team and giving this manager/ ownership stick can both exist at the same time. I can't believe that still needs explaining to people like you.

I totally understand the swell of opinion that showing dissatisfaction is far better than showing support. However, the deed is done. No amount of protest is going to bring the club back. 
At least most of the liability has been got rid of & at least we have a group of youngster who offer promise. I’m not showing my support for the regime, the decisions made so far but I support the team. I want them to succeed. And I can only do that by cheering rather than booing - the likes of Alves who has wanted his opportunity for years doesn’t deserve boos, he deserves our support.

Now each to their own, but we all support the same thing.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Do you actually know what it’s like to support something you have done for virtually your whole life? Through dark  days which we had in the 90s and 00s. The good days we had in the last 10 years. We are all totally aware of the absolute mess and potential crisis we are in. I know damn well you can support the team and give the owner, board and manager stick. I do it myself. What do you want to explain to “people like me”? What exactly are people like me? What I am is, like many others, a City fan, not a King Power fan. I get sick of people who try to put that down as though it’s a hanging offence. I literally try and SUPPORT the players on the pitch, which you said you were doing on Saturday.
