I think the current group are trying but are being hampered by Russell's tactics. That said, Russell cant be blamed for the glaring misses against Barnsley. 

 

The previous few seasons though, id definitely argue that a fair few players weren't giving 100%.

Hmm, yes I do within the constraints of the shackled style of RM and such coaches. I think modern players are over coached, and scared. I’m struggling to think of many current pros who just spontaneously take a game by the scruff - maybe Messi, or another past example Beckham. 
Who do you think wasn’t trying their best on Saturday?

I'm not sure you can question the effort of the current players. 

 

You can question the managers style and the overall fitness as a result of that style but im not really sure most of this is on the players, bar the old time Donkey like Faes and Reid who are just shit.

'How shit must you be w'e're winning away' is not supporting your team, in fact it's the complete opposite.

It's absolutely paramount that 'we promote' this season. 

 

The amount of people who will happily and obliviously clap this team into none existence is worrying.

People areclapping and supporting the team because the fans can be 'the 12th man' , they see how important this season is and believe that by supporting rather than slating the team may mean a greater chance of winning games.

Because those high stakes you talk about, which I agree with, the fans could have a massive impact on the outcome.

They need to be held accountable but the “how shit must you be ….. “ chant needs binning, mocking your own team for taking the lead is never going to be the way forward.

Ok look for something to moan about, fair enough. Have a bit of frustration, fair enough,  but deliberately creating a miserable atmosphere for the people around you is just pathetic.

 

If all you want to do is abuse our own players and ruin the experience for everyone else, don't go. Stay at home.

It’s the same old from the last couple of seasons. The fans that go to games to support the team, are called the derogatory term of KPFC. The people who call them this, don’t seem to go to matches and deride anyone who does. They cannot understand that supporting the lads on the pitch, is what fans do and have done for many years. It makes you an LCFC supporter. They want an empty stadium to prompt the owner to go. They actually would sooner see the club die than have any sort of success whilst the current owner is here. We are up for sale so hopefully partway to getting a new owner. In the meantime, those of us who love the club more than we hate Top, Rudkin or Martin, will continue to support whoever wears a City shirt at any match. When we are eventually bought, we need to be in as good a position as possible and be ditching the toxicity at matches.

“how shit” really gets on my nerves now. Ok, it was funny in a self deprecating way last season ( were we actually the first to sing it - I’ve heard other clubs since), but it’s naff now; on Saturday we were deservedly in front and looked like we’d go on to score more at will. 
I guess it’s some drunk morons who think they’re being trendy
