Babylon Posted 3 May 2006 Posted 3 May 2006 Loads of good films out soon and this summer. Here's a small sample... Superman returns, Miami Vice, Da Vinci Code, Pirates of the caribbean 2, x-men3, MI3, Poseidon, James Bond. What's everyone looking forward to seeing even if it's not listed?? Miami Vice for me as I was there when they were filming some bits and met Jamie Foxx in a club!! (ok he brushed past me).
Ricey Posted 3 May 2006 Posted 3 May 2006 Da Vinchi Code will be labeled a failure no matter what, but having not read the book I look forward to it.
SystonFox Posted 3 May 2006 Posted 3 May 2006 poseidon looked crap. 16 blocks, the inside man were the best of the year so far for me
Babylon Posted 3 May 2006 Author Posted 3 May 2006 Da Vinchi Code will be labeled a failure no matter what, but having not read the book I look forward to it. Love the book, the movie will be a let down compared to that!! If you have read the book anyway.
MC Prussian Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Hmmm... Might go and watch X-Men 3 to see how well they have implemented the new characters/superheroes like Angel (Ben Foster, great actor) or Jubilee. Will also be nice to see Vinnie Jones again (as the Juggernaut ). I'm not too much into "The DaVinci Code". Haven't read the book and adaptations in general... suck. Apart from "Adaptation", which is simply brilliant. "Superman"? Maybe to see how well they've done shooting in HD. That stands for High Definition. "Pirates Of The Caribbean 2"? "MI:3"? Only because Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the villain this time. Wonder what he's like in that (uncommon) role. Great actor. "Miami Vice"? :w00t: "Poseidon" doesn' really appeal to me.
Babylon Posted 4 May 2006 Author Posted 4 May 2006 "Miami Vice"? :w00t: Normally I would have thought the same but it is directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) So it should be really good. If you have seen the trailer it's pretty slick!!
hairy Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Omen 666 - Another remake but if its a patch on the first it should be excellent Cars - Pixar's new film so it should be good Sin City 2 - What more can I say.
The People's Hero Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 The Inside Man was awesome and Clive Owen is a legend. Everyone should watch Croupier and then try to tell me I'm wrong. Bastards.
Master Fox Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 All I'm interested in seeing is the new superman movie! Rumour has it this guy is the star of the new movie!
Ric Flair Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Loads of good films out soon and this summer. Saw the Trailor for this the other day and it looks brilliant. Reminded me of the Bad Boys films, which were immense. Jamie Foxx is a very good actor, this should be crackin film.
Dr The Singh Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 I have been disapointed by many movies this year, the hype usually gets the better of em, but I am looking forward to X-men 3, apparently they are making a number 4. MI3 should be good and I think SUperman will be a let down the storyline sounds abit poo and with no real villian!!
Guest Gist Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Pirates of the Caribbean is the film that interests me out the lot, I thought the first one was quality.
Foxes 2 da grave Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Casino Royale the beggining of a new era of Bond Movies
Cat Burger Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Da Vinchi Code will be labeled a failure no matter what, but having not read the book I look forward to it. I don't think so personally.. The book is a huge best seller, it stars Tom Hanks and Ian Mckellen and it's directed by the same bloke responsible for 'A Beautiful Mind' - Ron Howard. There's three recipes for success at least!
New England Fox Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Has Silent Hill come out over there yet? Got very crap reviews over here but it opened at number 1 and apparently if you played the game its really good.
wonderboy Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 A film called unholy is supposed to be brilliant i have seen the trailer and it looks amazing it's a bit like donni darko and has buffy's nicholas brendon in it not sure when it's out tho

Or have I mixed this up with a dream of mine?
wonderboy Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Is that the one that the US wanted banned as it was a film based on the government kidnapping people to do certain things to them? Or have I mixed this up with a dream of mine? no your correct the us government wanted it banned so they sent an official to precide over the filming then the US government shut down the official site until some particular documents were removed so no it wasnt a dream
Nationwider Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 Miami Vice and Pirates of The Caribbean 2 sound quite tempting. MV could be good fun if its done a bit tongue-in-cheek. POTC was an hilarious film, so I'd go and see the sequal, although I wish they'd come up with a better title. I think I'd rather deep-fry my scrotum than watch Superman Returns or The Da Vinci code though. <_<
Hitesh Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 Gonna be a good summer for movies!! Cant wait for Superman, X-Men 3 looks good and gonna watch MI:3 next week! Miami Vice also sounds good, although not seen any trailers on it. I saw the trailer for Pirates of the carribean and that looked awesome!
Alexikokopops Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 Da Vinci COde because parts of it were filmed right near me. Pirates Of The Carribean because I liked the first one. Pirates are good.
shen Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 MI 3 was pretty lame... You can't help but despise Tom Cruise. The guy's so much up his own arse that he can't get it out of there again. Apart from that my only comment is: It's an action film. Nothing more.
Phube Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 I'm not too much into "The DaVinci Code". Haven't read the book and adaptations in general... suck. Apart from "Adaptation", which is simply brilliant. The Shawshank Redemption!!!
