Brainy Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I'm not trying to pick a fight but Steve is just a negative person.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I'm not trying to pick a fight but Steve is just a negative person. But that means he'd fit like a glove. Sidwell reminds me of Lennon for some strange reason. Is it just the looks?
Stevosevic Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Steven Sidwell is going to one of top clubs in the Premiership, Coppel has come out and stated he wont stay because he is playing so well. Man utd and Chelsea are reported to be sniffing around. Dont see how that is me being negative. are you seriously suggesting he is a realistic signing?
Steven Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 I'm not trying to pick a fight but Steve is just a negative person. Care to qualify that.
weggy1976 Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Lets be frank. why would players want to join a Div 1 club? Leeds were in the champions league not long ago......they are a massive club etc etc......but if they play div1 football next year you won't find the likes of a top premiership player signing for them. So lets stop all the Sidwell, Todorov etc its pointless. We will have a youthful and upcoming players, no household names. Up the City....... 4 points in 4 games will be enough. If only we could keep a clean sheet.......x4 0-0 draws would do.
Ikon_Klow Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Dear all Whilst reading this mornings copy of the Sunday People I had to laugh when I read that Paul Ince has targeted Robbie as his first signing in the summer once he has been confirmed as manager of Leicester. Most likely rubbish as I am sure that he wouldn't fancy playing in League One (hopefully not the case!) but otherwise (if he could stay injury free) would be an amazing signing. Any comments?
The Reverend Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Would be a qulaity signing, can still play, and would be a good role model for players like Fryatt, Hume. Though i cant see it happening.
Wezleylowski Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 If this happens then i will change my username to, I eat Thracians bellybutton fluff
DB11 Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 He wants to finish his career with Liverpool, be it in the reserves or anything.
Stevosevic Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Once Ince as manager we will be linked to every player he has ever played with. Jamie Redknapp as his assistant?
MC Prussian Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Don't Believe English Tabloids They Are Full Of Shit
Louise Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Last time this was rumoured I remember a lot of people on this board were against the move. Wonder if they feel differently now
davieG Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 From Here There may be interest from the MLS and A-League side Sydney FC in Robbie Fowler, but according to The People, the 32-year-old will head for Leicester if he is released by Liverpool in the summer. Former Anfield team-mate Paul Ince was the subject of a gamble during the week to become the Foxes next permanent boss (with Nigel Worthington in temporary charge after Rob Kelly's sacking) and will make Fowler his first signing says the 'paper. Plenty of 'ifs and buts' in there, especially with Leicester slipping to within two points of the Championship relegation zone after Saturday's defeat by Norwich. Milan Mandaric is itching to spend some money at the Walkers Stadium but will have a nervous couple of weeks waiting to see what division his new club are playing in next year.
FilboFox Posted 16 April 2007 Posted 16 April 2007 Emiliano Insua from Liverpool is a really good signing at the back. Argentinian and very young and unlikely to get into the Liverpool 1st team due to the quality ahead of him. Also, due to Benitez's lack of faith in the reserve teams, we could get him on loan which would really help us.
blue blood Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 we need to know which league we are goin to be in 1st
Geo V Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Why can't Mandaric sign pre contract? Also the manager needs in input into the players he wants and we havent got a permanent manager.
kop king Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 I just hope the next manager gets rid of the clowns at city and brings in some good players, all depends on what league city will be in next year even though im confident they will still be in the championship. New full backs are needed along with new right winger and a quality finisher up front. Ideal player would be... Stefanovic and Hoyte at full backs and Todorov up front with Hume. Cheers.

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Stefanovic is a centreback mate. Who also plays at left back
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Capaldi still yet to sign a deal at Plymouth.
Milky Posted 18 April 2007 Posted 18 April 2007 Capaldi still yet to sign a deal at Plymouth. i thought Wolves had snapped him up, or was that just paper talk
