It's been pretty much as expected strong batting wise let down by our bowling attack. Wonder why Salisbury out of favour must have been a kick in the teeth when he missed out to a one day on loan player from Somerset

Salisbury looked our sharpest bowler first couple of games and looking like the only one that could lead the attack. Sure they’d said he had picked up a knock and he is made of glass - perhaps they’re protecting him.

Bowled in the 2s seemed fine. Need at least one loan in probably 2 tbh. Trevaskis also bowled ok and batted very well.

Cox is a good keeper but we losse ballance with him in the side, he just doesn't get enough runs imo. Hopefully will prove me wrong tomorrow.

Don't want to excuse the bowling but at least 3 of our wickets were appalling decisions. Kimber's was missing a second set of stumps and Hill got nowhere the ball he was given out for.

Agree! Great effort with the bat. And we are still in third place! Our lower order batting has been particularly impressive. Just look at how Durham capitulated today. Their last five contributed just 19!

Top effort. Wouldn't have backed many Leicestershire sides of recent years to get something out of that.

Yes fully agree. Everybody hung about and thwarted their bowlers. Great effort. Pleased for Hill, he needed a score.

We bat deep, but need to win a game, to kick start the season, hopefully starting with the Welsh. We owe them a beating.

Serves Gloucestershire right for batting so long.   Who the **** needs to bat to 706 before declaring?   Tossers!

In fairness, given we gained parity over the course of two innings, they probably weren't far off! Big compliment to our batting that they felt that was what they needed to put the game beyond us.

Still love the draw rule lol Having been there Friday - Sunday seeing the spirit shown from the lads after being 700+ runs down was excellent. Great result.

Worrying we won the toss and they got 700+ for 6 but dug in really well and had a few shocking decisions go against us which could have made a difference in our first innings

Does seem a bit crazy though that we haven't won a match while Middlesex have won 2 yet we are only 10 points behind them. You almost get as many points from scoring big in the first innings and drawing then you do by winning in a low scoring match

Yeah, I understand that.  But I'd say it worked against them.

If they had declared on 500-ish say, our batsmen would've thought the win wasn't completely out of their reach ... probably played a bit more cavalier, and maybe lost a lot more wickets in the process.  And making a positive result for Glous more likely.

As it was, I think we perhaps had the attitude of "**** you then, you miserable b'stards".   We'll give 100% to make sure we bat ultra carefully and don't lose.

Their eyes were on a record, not a result, big mistake

Rehan’s batting has been strong so far this season. 220 runs in 5 innings up to now I think
