Rehan has been setting the field pretty much the past two overs

Kimber should never captain again, he’s proved he’s not up to it many, many times now

Hell of a perfromance to lose that, not sure how many times we were in the driving seat to throw it, couplk of very generous decisions going their way did not help either

Partly in Kimber’s defence, is he on instruction from the coaches to stick rigidly to the pre-game plan, no matter what is happening on the pitch? I can’t think of any other reason for the odd bowling decisions.

The T20 format is so up and down you have to win the games you’re in control of like that one.

Utter shambles. Lost 2 wickets and only got 188 which should have been more like 210-220 at least.. Then had them needing 12 an over, and some brain dead captaincy with the bowling options, let them get back into the game again. How did Scriven only bowl 2 overs when he had been our most economical bowler. We can kiss goodbye to making it to the knock out stage in the 20-20 now. An absolutely shocking week for the County!

Still in the chase the Bears and Northants  both going to lose

What a truly bad week. I said at the beginning of it, I hope this doesn’t ruin our season. It has the potentially to really throw us off. Need to reset

Don’t get why Scriven only bowled 2. Don’t get why he persisted with Hull who was silly expensive. It’s so frustrating.

I try not to be negative about our cricket club, but that is not good enough on two fronts. When you’re unbeaten after 11 overs, you should be looking to score a lot more than 188.

Then when Notts needed two a ball for so long, it’s pretty shit to lose like that. Really poor.

Sick of watching us lose at Trent Bridge, they’re ****ing crap.

In preseason Thomas said he gave the captaincy to Kimber because he’s the most like Handscomb in personality. Worth a try but it’s not enough - PH is a much superior player with way more experience across lots of competitions.

Correct the mistake - had we done this 3 games ago we’d be fine.

Van Beek 7 off 2 overs, Scriven 8 off 2 overs. 4 overs left.

Kimber: nah let’s bring on Hull who has gone for 26 off of 2 overs.

Hull is over rated in my opinion and we are expecting too much of him. He should definitely not have been given four overs after the start he had. I was screaming for Scriven to be given the ball!

I know he’s 20 but I think Rehan would be a much better choice, he’s a technician of the game, mature and has the respect on the team. Cox would also do a good job.

Trouble with Rehan is availability. Cox has been a captain before iirc so I’d go with him

Too often it seems that the most economical bowler on the day doesn't get given the chance to bowl his full allocation.

What an absolute gent! I presume this means he won’t be coming back to us? 🤪

It's a class gesture from him, he seemed a really decent bloke when he was here.

Although I do wonder about how Zimbabwe feel when the opposition captain has basically said "I didn't want to set the record because the opposition are so poor it would demean the existing record" >_<. Then again Lara transcends the sport to an extent they might not mind.

Having reflected on the loss to Notts I still can’t fathom our bowling choices. Kimber and Trevaskis bowled 7 overs for 75 runs and why bowl Sam Wood 2-29 when Scrivo only also gets 2 overs for not many, definitely threw that game away. Poor captaincy probably led by the coach.
