match abandoned - our faint hopes get even fainter we now need Birmingham to lose at Derbyshire and win our last game. very frustrating t20 campaign so many promising positions in games wasted.  ultimately it looks like we are gonna get what we deserve in this comp - naff all.

Along with Notts failing to win one of their remaining 2.

Strange of BBC to say our hopes are effectively over.

Also, what was the point in changing 4pts a win and 2 points abandoned to 2 and 1?

I think the rationale was to align the points system for the men's and women's comps, but it still doesn't work as the women's comp has bonus points.

Green on a perm is great business. I’ll be honest, don’t know much of davey.

He was very good for us on his short loan spell. He is getting older mind but plenty of experience.

I think he'd be a handy signing, can bat as well.

Need to make sure we have the right balance as Hill, Cox, Holland and Davey plus Wright if he's still around and if any of the overseas like Masood, Handscomb or van Beek are around and we've got a bit of a dad's army coming together.

Likes of Hull, Ahmed, A.Green etc are opposite end of the scale plus a fair few in their prime like Scrivo and Patel, Ben Green in that bracket to if he was to join though so the succession planning is there.

Remember Simon Hughes called us dad's Army Leicestershire when we played at Lord's. Really need to blood more youngsters  like  Dunk Alex Green Sam Wood etc .Even the so called Younger players like  Kimber  Patel Mike are getting close to 30 need to.find the right balance

Wright is out of contract at the end of the season isn't he. I'd be surprised if we offered him a new contract if we are signing Davey, he's looking like age is finally catching up with him.

Am I right in saying our 1 day cup side could look like this:

Patel

Budinger

Hill

Handscomb or Masood

Holland

Ben Green (hopefully)

Cox

Van Beek

Trevaskis

Scriven

Wright

Serious team that!

It will be more varied and youthful than that most probably

Doubt Somerset will allow Ben Green to go when they lose around 12 players to.The hundred

We need a huge win to swing the NRR though, right?

If we win and Warks lose, we'll have 30 points to their 28.
