did minimal work today and probs wasted litres of water on my chatgpt calculator throughout the day, never thought id cheer somerset closing the gap at 25.2 overs or whatever it was but happy days

Yes, always at Trent Bridge now.

 

In an ideal world, it'd be at Lord's but it's actually a brilliant venue for it. Just needs growing as an annual event like Finals Day at Edgbaston has.

Are we sure Ahmed can play? I may be wrong but I seem to recall that Hundred players were not allowed to play, isn't that why we had the likes of Swindells & Evans playing when we last won it

They are allowed to play but there is usually an unwritten rule that players who played the whole 100 campaign aren't recalled to the 50 over. Rehan was a spectator when we won in 2023.

 

Although I read on Twitter earlier that Middlesex plan to play all there 100 players so at that point who knows.

The way the campaign has gone, him playing wouldn’t mean that a player that deserves their place would miss out. That number 3 slot which he’d take has been a complete mess for us.

As we saw in the last 48 hours, Jason Roy played for Surrey in the One-Day Cup on Tuesday and then turned out for MI London in The Hundred the next day. Feels like the previous 'gentleman's agreement' mentioned by The whole world smiles (see above) has ended in some counties books. Given our major failings at first down and the previous use of Mike, B Green and Scrivens for example, we'd be mad not to play Rehan there on Sunday.

We’d be crazy to not play him. Kent brought Muyeye back to face us, and as mentioned Surrey had Roy playing for them who hadn’t played in the metro for years.
