I’ve got a spare ticket for the final, free to a good home, meet at the ground. DM me if you’re interested.

Hey I still owe you a beer for buying me some cider. Hope I bump into you on Sunday 😀

Which stand is the majority of the Leicestershire support?

Last time it was the Fox road stand. Assume it will be again

Anybody seen, rail replacement service between Harborough & Looboroo, both ways

AND it looks like earliest train into Nottm arrives at 11.15am, that'll be handy for the Londoners and Lestah fans too

What a ridiculous decision to let Cox go. He has played a great season of cricket and is utterly dependable with bat and gloves. He is great to watch too. Gutted for him and  staggered that he hasn’t yet found a new home for his obvious talents.

He's in the squad for tomorrow and I'll guess he'll play the cup final too.

I'm guessing he's not been released just yet 😅

For tomorrow's crucial game against Hampshire I'd go:

Patel

Gumbs

Ahmed

Shaikh

Kelly

Holland

Cox

Green

Davey

Scrivo

Gilchrist

That's a real shame, it's always a pleasure to have a really skilled gloveman in the side. Who knows if the problem is finances or personalities or something else, though I'm sure Blake will be costing less than a renewal for Cox.

I guess it’s more difficult for a keeper to find somewhere that they will play regularly as most counties have a first choice keeper already.

Fell out with Fons, not many come back from that!

Any proof for this. I see it spouted when any player is dropped or isn't given a contract.

It’s probably true then!

Gloveman, leader, batsman who plays across formats. He's arguably better value on that basis, pound for pound, than Foakes to Surrey.

I reckon his value across all of those metrics outweighs anything extra he might have wanted financially. It'll be a dressing room clash.

I do think Blake has great potential but I reckon Cox is the least dispensable player we have right now. Such a shame.

Hopefully he continues playing and gets a new contract somewhere (The Cricketer suggests Glamorgan or Warwickshire as possibilities). The Derbyshire all-rounder, Anuj Dal, has retired from cricket at just 30. Derbyshire offered him a contract but he's decided to take a role in financial management instead, where I'm guessing he'll be paid more than the contract they offered.

Apart from A Patel for Scriven, that's the team. Won the toss and having a bowl.

They are saying that the decision on the points deduction will come this afternoon.

Interesting that it hasn't stopped us using the mixed cut approach to the wicket once more, clearly that's not the issue as mentioned previously
